  • why the heck do u have to shout??

  • @ravicurious

because you have to do it LIKE THIS!!

  • it's about time i find a video without a fucking 11 year old narrator.

  • prick made me jump when you yelled

  • "EQ allows to edit waveform" ... uh, no? The pencil (or whatever it is called in this tool) edits the waveform. The EQ affects the frequency profile.

  • which plug -in's did you download ?

  • keeps crashing

  • where the fuck do you download the pack, why isnt it in the link

  • Men please help me, i don't understand so good the english, i can't find a video like this in spanish, and i can't see the options for the effect, i need this effect for my machinima, please help me, can you show me the steps? please.

  • @gripopiMEX lol yo tambien estaba buscando este efecto para mi machinima hjajajajaja

  • Qué pequeño es el internet cuando se hacen machinimas

  • i want like in COD4 or like talking to space or wearing a space helmet

  • @nikkolei

    HEYY

    AHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @nikkolei

    what a coincedence

    lawl

  • have you figured out a way to do this without the program crashing?

  • @cyemekaray See comments below.

  • This is crap cause it crashes most of the time. Go find a tut that actually tells you how to do this the RIGHT way.

  • @whoreallygivesacrap First off, this tutorial is now obsolete with the latest beta version of Audacity. The equalizer that's built in is much easier to use than the traditional variety. Second, The multiband EQ was used simply because it worked best on XP. If you're using Vista/7, it's not going to work.

The dB values still work for the desired effect, so this "tut" still holds true. However, if you need your hand held in this matter, I'm sure someone will walk you through it.

  • @GuttedWrenStudios Can you explain how to do this effect with the new built in equalizer that Audacity includes now?

  • @whoreallygivesacrap Hi gutted, I'm glad to hear your up for holding my hand but I have a wife for that.

  • @whoreallygivesacrap I don't believe I ever stated that I was planning on holding your hand. I'd prefer not to get between you and your left hand.

  • @whoreallygivesacrap is it "who really gives a crap" or "Whore Ally Gives a crap?

  • you broke my ears and my laptop speakers but thanks for the TUT

  • Shaz: And I'll break 'em all over again given the choice.

  • exactly what plug in packs do i need?

  • I can't seem to get it right. I downloaded the multiband eq, but it does not look the same as what is on your video. where did you download yours from?

  • Shaz: The pack was the LADSPA plug-in pack. I'm not sure if they changed any of them in the last six months, but that's the pack we use with audacity.

  • lol I feel stupid, but I don't know where to find the plug-in packs or the LAME Mp3 thing on Audacity's website. can you explain where it is?

  • I tried this and for some reason, Audacity crashed all 7 times. even did a reboot to see if that cleaned it up.

Oh well. If i ever get it working, this is the exact effect I'm looking for and so thank you very much...

  • Damn it, i forgot to mention that bit.

Alright, the radio effect is great, but it IS a dice roll every time you use it. I seem to have very good luck with it sometimes, as does Ezekieru. Just remember to save any editing work you did before and after you apply the effect.

  • i use this program too!

  • Actually it's:

    1.) Capture Radio Effect

    2.) ???

    3.) PROFIT

  • yeah thank you for this.i been wondering how u do this.this is a silly question but whats the mp3 encoder for ??

  • The Mp3 encoder is just to give you the ability to export in MP3s. It yields better quality than .wav, which is what you should NEVER export with. There really isn't a reason to not use mp3s.

  • oh that's why songs i edited sound a bit worse .thanks again ^_^

  • what? arent .WAVs higher quality. i thought mp3's are more compressed.

  • a already know hot to use audacity but thanks for the tutorial

  • Thanks alot for the tutorial. It was very helpful. One small question though, will you be doing more of these? I've been wondering how to get things to sound like old-timey radio, myself.

  • nice, i thank you

  • Not a problem, always willing to help.

  • Animeguy118: Hey man thanks for this, I was actually going to send a message asking how you did that effect.
