hey bro, you should really practice a better cadence than the 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 cadence. try the following:
1, 2 (full spam cadence), pause for reset, 1, 2 (full spam cadence), pause for reset, 1, 2 (full spam cadence), etc, etc. its infinitely better, and pretty easy to use too.
Dude I gotta say great vid, and good mindframe. However, your thinking a bit to basic. I have ruled that map with my team from the bottom position. they get over confident, and we take them out. getting kills from awkward positions, and mainly doing things that makes the other team say "wtf". Like a great quote says, "Winners win by letting the other guy think he's making all the right moves." But still dude great game! I can't imagine how mad they had to be. haha
@NightmareUT holding the top of the map is infinitely more advantageous than holding the bottom. this wont work against good people, which is what i believe this video was for.
I really liked this video and would love to see more. I know that the strategy aspects are pretty basic but it's nice to see someone good at Halo talk through their mindset while playing a game. Understanding how decisions are made by someone with experience can be a lot of help.
Hey, I like the video, I like the commentating even if most of it is a bit obvious, but what i like most of all is the mistakes. Its a solid gameplay but the mistakes are the best part because its directly addressing what I see alot of people, myself, included doing. Chasing kills, going 1v2, etc. A perfect gameplay doesn't help at all unless you try to say what NOT to do and the options there are limitless.
Yeah I don't really get this commentary. Reach is a very casual game that offers little in terms of competition. You seemed pretty serious about this despite the enemy team being extremely bad at the game (I'm guessing below 1.00 kdr). The way to help teach is to have gamers of similar levels play not by a poor example of a 'noob stomp'. I hope future gameplays will involve customs vs friends of equal skill.
@WhiteBandicoot Reach does offer less competition, but that doesn't mean there aren't viewers here that aren't interested in getting better; there are many. I seemed serious because it's Arena (which is becoming a joke, I know) but it's meant for me to play seriously. They are a little less skilled than other players, I'll admit. One player's k/d was less than 1, however I disagree with your idea on teaching. You get better at the game by playing better opponents, for sure, but I think in this
@WhiteBandicoot case the discrepancy between the basic tactics of my team and the lack of tactics in their team greater emphasizes the importance of teamwork. Please keep in mind that the viewers on this channel vary greatly in skill so it's hard to put something up that applies to everyone or post something that everyone understands, so more complex ideas as far as formations of set-ups and the like can be lost on newer players.
@WhiteBandicoot I do understand where you're coming from, and I'll take criticisms posted into account, so watch for a gameplay that may better suit your tastes in the near future. I do appreciate that you took the time to comment and critique. P.S. sorry for the THREE replies, I just hate the damn character limits!
i disagree with what a lot of people say about chasing. some people say you're never supposed to chase, but ill usually chase someone if they're one shot or low on shields. obviously i wont run on top of grenades and ill read him if hes got a shotgun or a sword. chasing is really all about confidence, if you're confident you can kill the guy by chasing him down, then it will probably end up good for you.
@ihmen The point of not chasing is because when you chase around a corner, you're on their terms. if they got better positioning in that second, or grabbed a health pack, or lined you up, it's all advantages for them, whereas if you keep to your plan, not only will you eventually find them later to try again at, you will also be in a position that your team expects and can use. If they're one-shot or easy and within range, go ahead, but don't chase someone just for a kill. You don't need it yet.
Since you said you might analyze some of our gameplay, could you analyze mine? I really want to become a better halo player, and I love the idea of gamers for change. My gameplay is MLG team slayer on Zealot. And BTW thanks for the informative video. It was awesome.
Is everyone on reach bad? lol i mean i rented the game last night havent played it since it came out in september and i get 25+ kills in every playlist i played in. got like 40 kills in BTB without using a single vehicle lol it got to the point where it was just becoming boring because there was no challange. halo 3 is where its at.
@crzzymnn911 its due to the way the matchmaking system works. When I started out I was doing same thing without a hitch, It begins matching you with players closer your skill after a little bit
@crzzymnn911 they run a skill ranking system in reach just like in halo 3 for each individual playlist, they just dont show you your number in reach. if u just rented the game you will be at a level 1 on everyplaylist so you will smash noobs until you start getting matched with people of your own skill
i understand and respect what these guys are trying to do wich is stop or decease the hostility of the gameing community but come on look at the gamertagg they use to capture the videos! Haha i thought i was kinnda funny :) and for those of you who dont know what the gamertag is, it is ''I Pwnz Bks" Lol

wait so your original goal of this channel was to reduce the amount of hostility in the gaming community but then you go and give a tutorial on how to win competitive games? is it me or is there something wrong with this picture?
@blackula6 We haven't strayed from our original goal. We still maintain our stance, we just know that videos are meant to be entertaining, so why not have a channel that is in some way informative and entertaining? I don't think that there's any disconnect between winning games and not being courteous online.. Winning a game aggressively or (semi)-intelligently doesn't make you a terrible person.
@SelfmadeSpartan good point. look up someone named BOSSNASTi on youtube. check out his analysis videos. good stuff. but he sometimes seems like he is preaching or ranting
There's a difference between being competitive, and being a dick while being competitive. It's perfectly fine to be competitive, but just because you are doesn't mean you have to trash talk or be mean. You could implement a sportsmanship like attitude. We encourage people to be more like this, and we do so in a manner that isn't conducive to hostile atmosphere, like giving tips, instead of being a complete dick, which would give the wrong picture.
very good gameplay and tactic informer. However, you could've used the map a little better than what you did (charged up the red lift) instead of using some of the jumps or ramps to get a better position. Although, I have to say, nice job.
@Nitrozity Uh, the Black Magic Intensity Professional is one of the best HD capture cards around. It also cost me $200. I don't think I'm going to go out and buy a different one.
I didn't say my quality looked washed out. I just liked the look of color correction. It probably looks worse than normal considering it's on Zealot (darker map).
I love playing with one of my friends because we work the maps so well we have shut out multiple teams in doubles. We have our struggles occasionally but we communicate and try our best to keep each other safe. I can't tell you how many times one of us has been double teamed and a simple sniper shot has helped us kill both guys. A teammate you can rely on is not only beneficial, but CRUCIAL.

Instead of watching a 8:12 long video on "how to use a teammate and the map against your opponent", follow these easy guidelines.
1. Know your team
2. Know the map
3. Know your limitations and capabilitys... (i.e. you suck at sniper but can AL like a boss or vice versa)
and probably the most important of all
4. COMMUNICATE with your teammember/s
