  • If anything, it was out of character. At least, the character you have portrayed yourself to be.

  • I enjoy your channel very much because you seem to be yourself, so that video made me like you more, since you live for yourself and do not take yourself overly serious... good riddance to unsubscribers

  • subscribed

  • man you are hilarious and awesome

  • Maybe I didn't pay close enough attention, but I didn't see anything gay or feminine about that video.

  • "as if youtube is his diary"

    what about vloggers, duh.

  • i thought the vid was hilarious

    :D

  • i am comfortable with who i am sexually. my question was legit.

  • I think the video is really funny

  • Do be quite honest, I think a lot of those comments were semi-jocular anyway. I mean you post a video challenging social norms, it's almost the point that some people are a bit offended.

  • In fact I loled at "what has been seen cannot be unseen".

It's an internet meme and it kinda sums up the video quite well I think.

    But only as a joke.

  • Even if you were hideous or if your dick was flopping around. Why should anyone be disgusted? I used to be incredibly prude.... but now I see a penis or boobs as any other part of the body.... I mean yeah, boobs and vagina attract me... but there is no reason to find them.... disgusting. I really dislike anti-nudity laws.... and hey you were in your underwear. How can that bother anyone?

  • Also, I think a few of those negative comments might have been jokes. Sarcasm does fail on text comments.

  • hahahahahahahha you read my comment. I said "depraved" as a reference to Prometheus. lol the video was awesome, no offense intended to you

  • XOmniverse, I wouldn't worry. As said, most of those comments were just kinda humorous. Otherwise people tend to have a strong negative reaction to sexualialsed content not to their taste. Just ignore it and move on.

  • I did not offer a response. People may be reacting this way because the act is aberrational.

  • Personally I didn't watch.

I don't think that's passing judgment. I just had no interest in the video, so I didn't watch it.

  • Make another video. It's a sure way to find out who your real internet friends are. If I can do a request? Poker Face or Beat It would be awesome!

  • Maybe your subscribers just don't expect a funny video from a guy who makes thought provoking philosophy videos. Have you considered having two channels for different types of video content? (example lacigreen and gogreen18)

  • My comments were jokingly projecting my slight discomfort at it. Of course thats what makes the video funny so I don't see how its an unhealthy reaction.

Its interesting that guys in our culture are polarized sexually, we never look each other in the eyes when talking to other guys but girls do.

  • "we never look each other in the eyes when talking to other guys but girls do."

I remember a girl actually telling me this years ago. She told me how girls not only kept eye contact during even the longest conversations, but felt overwhelming insecure when someone didn't. She said it showed a lack of interest. Probably in the same way we think a soft handshake implies weak resolve. Just laurels of the sexes, I guess.

  • I liked it. Do it again.

  • Comment removed

  • Some of the comments that you read really sound like jokes. As in, not serious.

  • I don't see what other people would make a fuss about. I didn't particularly like the video, but it didn't bother me in the slightest.

I can understand people, particularly heterosexual guys, not liking it. You're entitled to make such a video and they're entitled to express their dislike if that's the case, in my opinion. What I don't understand though are people who would think to unsubscribe because of a one off video like that :/

  • I don't think it has anything to do with whether commenters are uncomfortable sexually. I think it has a lot to do with people not have the confidence and vulnerability to do what you did - not to really care what people thought of it - and just going for it cos you thought it would be funny. Their comments were a kind of levelling - trying to make you self-attack, make you lack confidence and vulnerability, because then it normalizes their lack of it.

  • this video is delightfully awkward

  • How cruel men can be to other men about their appearance, for absolutely no good reason to boot.

I for one thought the video "For the Ladies" was funny, and not surprising either, given your previous videos about emotional liberation.

I don't see how anyone would be surprised, or not known that it'd be a serious dick move to make a joke at your expense.

  • i don't think that a lot of the comments you quoted were being seriously negative or dissaproving. it occurs to me that a lot of them were messing around as an extension of the theme of the video.

  • If you did because of my comment can i get a shot out maybe?

  • wtf!

  • Your body really wasn't bad at all. A normal, healthy body. To be honest, I thought you were more overweight than that. I wasn't sure it was actually you at first.

  • I'm pretty sure he's lost some weight recently, as a result of purposefully working on himself. Which, IMO, is cool.

  • People just have their own issues.

    Much respect.

  • I'm uncomfortable with my own sexuality; however I don't think my comment "Chippendales auditions?" was negative. Perhaps it is, hmmm.

Anyway, I think when discussing sex, it's important to look at what kind of information children are indoctrinated, specifically with religion.

  • I thought that comment was funny. Not negative or mean at all.

  • Sometimes I think commenters just try to top other commenters comments in grandiose sarcasm, or hyper drama queen fashion, which really has nothing to so with what is being viewed and more of a intercommenter competiton of who can write the greatest slam, flame, or whatever vitriol can be expressed in words. I think it is an unofficial word game.

  • I'll tell you my thoughts. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable because of how I perceived you as a character. When Jack Black does this I find it funny because he's a goofy guy whose not doing it out of self consciousness and won't even take notice of responses good or bad. But I see you as an introverted intellectual type who has a particular sense of self to the point, as this video proves, that you do care and you are sensitive to opinion. The whole thing seemed like you were trying too hard.

  • I was being intentionally over the top for the purposes of humor. I'm not sure if that's "trying too hard" if being over the top is why its funny.

  • It wasn't about being over the top. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for everybody doing what they want, I'm just trying to answer your confusion from my perspective. What I saw from you didnt seem in your natural character, as if publishing the video of you dancing was a tool for you, a solution to some kind of agitation. There was thought there, self awareness, and dancing in your underwear is typically care free....

  • ....It was like watching a bad singer who felt compelled to get on stage in order to overcome a fear and as a member of the audience feeling obliged to receive the performance well. Kinda. I, for these reasons, wasnt ready to laugh and mostly felt aware of a thought process that might not have even been there.

But I support you in all you underwear dancing endeavors :)

  • I remember giggling a little, and feeling a bit confused. I had a feeling there was a deeper purpose for it...

  • @TheObnubilators

Sorry, I meant to thumbs you up but I accidently thumbsed you down. I get the same feeling.

  • Rock out with your cock out

  • I think that 1/3 of the comments you mentioned may of been sarcastic. Like "why?!?" could just have been an exaggeration of experiencing the unexpected. For instance I was at first surprised, but at no time thinking literally that it was a fucked up thing to post. Given the diversion from you're usual serious demeanor, I'd be like jokingly saying that you pulled a fast one on those involved. :P

  • Dude, are you serious? Your subscriber base is like 90% male, most of which probably lack noteworthy homosexual tendencies. In addition, you're not actually attractive, at least to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm fairly ugly too, but seeing a non-attractive person do a sexual dance naked is just really, really unaesthetic.

Throughout this video, I was stunned. You're SERIOUSLY wondering why you got negative reactions? You can't imagine why someone wouldn't want to see you dance nakedly?

  • I was disappointed at the condescending negative remarks. I don't give a shit if someone doesn't want to watch it.

I watched Chris Farley dance in an SNL skit and I was almost dying of laughter, and I don't find Farley sexy at all. But there's nothing inherently gross about the human form or my human form.

  • clearly you do give a shit, which is the reason that you made this video

  • Clearly I give a shit that some people didn't want to watch it because I give a shit about people leaving condescending remarks?

Care to bridge those two premises for me?

  • Also, to add onto that previous comment, I am perceiving your comment as a condescending attack on me. If it's not, please clarify for me.

  • The issue may have more to do with a disconcerting contrast, versus sexual issues. For example, an entertainer waxing forth about a political topic can be a major turn-off for her fans, as this is not what they are into in watching her. On the other hand, Ayn Rand doing a pole dance could be rather upsetting even if this clip was when she was 22, just because this contrasts so much with one's focus upon her for other reasons. Sure, Jack Black dancing is funny, but we expect such from him, etc.

  • One way around this on YT is to create a different channel for more personal silly stuff, as others have. Many have complained about LaciGreen NOT being so serious as she was on gogreen18, but with different channels it is easier for ppl to accept such differences in presentation. Entertainers can best have a personal channel and then one just for their performances. Many are NOT going to be into

all sides or even 2 sides of the same person.

  • One female Youtuber I follow does do this very dancing thing on a regular basis, but aside from being so cute it hurts, part of the trick is in moving the viewer into a rather joyful versus sexually focused experience even when the dancer is one sexy number. Then it has an inspiring quality and can be sexually stimulating as well. However, if the dancer isn't so smooth but yet is still attractive, it may seem a little gross even w/o any cross-gender issues involved.

  • For example, Demi Lovato generates mild negative reactions for me when she tries to act sexy in her singing, altho I like her overall. Her friend Miley can grab her crotch on stage and probably eat shit out of a cup and I would be entertained, as I have more of a comedic context of experience with Miley & w/ Demi my sense of her is not so good. So, the integration of one's moving about with the whole body of one's self-expression can have something to do with disgust vs amusement.

  • I suspect many were not so amused by Einstein sticking out his tongue and acting silly, as well, not due to any general distaste for such behavior from those like the 3 Stooges and other comics, but because this didn't fit with their overall sense of Einstein as one serious thinking dude. Ppl being a TAD disgusted could be a GOOD sign they respect your ideas, versus this meaning they harbour homophobic issues.

  • which youtuber are you talking about?

  • that video made me laugh

  • Most of those commenters are joking, although I'm sure they were genuinely put off to some degree. You're not exactly Alain Delon.

  • Make this video longer. I can't cum in less than six minutes. To hit the reload button is a bother.

  • And yes XOmniverse, I mute all your videos and fap.

  • I used to fap to aaron's videos, but then I got a life. Dude, you should stop!

  • Maybe some just can't appreciate things for what they are.

  • I just assumed you were drunk.

  • theres the anonymous internet person thing where some have to be assholes.

also you come off as a very serious person, and for some reason people dont see you as the type to do that sort of thing. since they personally dont see you that way, seeing you do something like this comes as a shock.

dont ask me why things are the way they are, this is just something ive noticed throughout my years...

  • I didn't like the image from the video in question, but at least I didn't watch it and kept my mouth shut, damn.

  • Haha, sorry dude. It wasn't meant to be negative or anything. It was a joke off of an old Spongebob episode.

  • P.S. I almost puked. (<<<you see, it's a joke, even if I don't write smiley)

    PEACE.

  • lol

  • XOmniverse, to my understanding, those all comments were just joke. :D ("what has been seen can not be unseen" is very popular joke on the internet and so on.) So take it easy, dude.
