i listed to this song, and then tried running through my front door like that, but I did'nt have the same effect. Now my head not my hearts on fire, really love this song but this song should have a disclaimer attached. NEVER TRY THIS AT HOME L.O.L
Wish I knew this song by itself. I had the interesting way knowing the existence of the song of being a fan of Tarantino, which lead to being a fan of "Not Quite Hollywood: The wild, untold story of OZploitation", which lead me to "Dead End Drive-In". but oh well, at least I'm listening to it and loving it! :)

Any format ??Absolute killer, playing the 12'' as I write this, following it up with the models "hold on" then deckchairs overboard "thats the way" THEN do re mi "standing on wires"this music has to be preserved its just too fucking good, aussy aussy aussy
Machination's Rumen Call The machinations of the masters Herald a land of splatters Conquered as consequence of wounded Vaters In heartless land drained of blood Into a basin of baseless love. Thereupon the nation falls With precedence of Gaul To the fulfillment of due call. Amen, to one in all.
I have killer MP3s of this, "No Say In It", "Do To You," and "You Got Me Going Again" ... found online eons ago before Napster went down. I couldn't live without 'em.
We are certainly lucky here in OZ to have had a band like this pity the world missed out. This song has got my favorite synth rhythm bass rift of all time it is fantastic listen to it LOUD!!!!!
@imnotworthy22 glad u love it...it's a farking killer isn't it ! it's so f*cked up that it's not available in any format...anywhere. There's been no dvd release of the video, you can't buy it as an mp3, the album isn't available on cd ...it's just idiotic. It's an Aussie classic and masterpiece...people want it and the record company couldn't give a sh!t...and then they b!tch about the fact that people are illegally downloading stuff. Hypocrits !
I know exactly what you mean. My Hearts On Fire gets so deep within my soul that I could just drowned in it. Loved it since 1985 and it's a complete KILLLLLLLLLLLLLER! Instensley powerful *+*
sandymarj, keen to take you up on the mp3 offer, I have BiG Music on CD, and Greatest hits on vinyl, but keen to get as much on mP3 as poss. Arguably my fav band of the 80's, with MiSex, Ganagajang, Dragon, Divinyls, Hoodoo Gurus, INXS, Oils etc the list goes on eh
@neroswan - and a tip of the hat to you sir for some fine bass work :) Used to love playing along to that tune with my Maton fretless at the time ( and Wal later on ).
I have most of the Machinations releases on vinyl including 12" of this - awesome! Best band of the 80's - could upload the mp3's if I knew where to upload them to for anyone who is interested.
last clip i remember of Machinations was Trains and Planes on Hey Hey its Saturday sort of an egyptian theme with a live drummer as they had nearly always used a drum machine when touring despite the clip
almost impossible to get on cd only time i ever saw was a music sale and they had burned the vinyls to cd and were charging $50 a pop :( cmon make a compilation guys :)
family emigrated in 83 to aus ! i was 23 lad ,band mad ! went to watch them 10 timesplus everyone else who was about then .Why did i come back to england ??
Without a doubt a total killer track. Was obsessed in this song in 1985 and loved ther video, I was very lucky to get a copy of this video again this year! My favourite Machinations track for sure! It's beautiful, emotional, deep, musical, electrifying, satisfying and legendary. And the lyrics and backing vocals kill me! Sigh, music will NEVER be the same again, N E V E R ! Music once meant something and this track folks is such a fine example of that, BLESS***
I am absolutely fucking love you tube. I love the Machinations and God i love this song. "I never met man like this before... my spinal fluid's sinkin' to my feet..."
I know you can't buy the cd in Australia any where. :-(( thank farq for youtube so we can watch the great Machinations. A true great aussie band :-))
I saw these guys back in 1985 at The Hordern Pavillion with Mental As Anything. My first ever gig. Boy it was electrifying. You'll never hear anything like this again.
You were in the pinnacle of music,i wish i was there, seen them a few times, they were great, i remember seeing them in revesby roundhouse,an Freddy jumped off the stage and cracked a guy who threw a be at him, it was a blast.cheers from Sydney.

This is indeed a fantastic track, and I'd forgotten all about it 'til now, but I was somewhat distracted by the drummer's Ultra Mullet 2000.
Nonetheless, great stuff from our very own funky white boys, the Aussie Machinations.
