my granddad landing on Omaha beach back in '44 i'm glad we do reenactments cause there are soo many people that forgot about WWII It should never be forgotten, he couldn't even speak about the things that went on over there every time he tried he broke down and cried...there isn't many of the Vets left so show some pride for what they did, they kept us from living in the Third Reich. everyone of my grnadparents fought in one theater or the other

I was actually in a WW2 reenactment but there was only one Higgins boat, two allagators and one duck. The Higgins boat sank. I was in it. :P It sucked. And then there were only ten Germans that we had to fight. but that was because we were short a lot of guys... There was probably only 100 volenteers...

That's pretty cool.. I was the USN CPO with the 7th Beach Bn. We were the navy guys behind the big rock directing the boats and the troops where to go.. I had on the blue life jacket and was carrying my thompson. helmet has a grey band with USN on it.. Great to see this.. It's not as nice from my side..LOL but it's fun!!

Hey Nate what group do you reenact? I'm from Ohio and I actually do the 6th SS Nord Division and also SS Abt. 102 Heavy Tiger Tank Recon Rgt. Nord is based out of Indiana, the guys I was with are from NE Ohio, plus the other group I'm with the 102 is out of Pittsburgh. They want me to do Torrence. out in PA. My 6th SS unit is also putting on a event in Dover Ohio if you guys are interrested.
