  • People think the blues is easy. Its cool to hear someone that with talent and some great old gear that probably no one even wanted until the last decade or so. They don't make that kind of tone in a little box thats for sure!

    very cool!

  • @alabarb28

Thank you to comment; Tone is a never ending quest and I agree with you, old funky gear represents a great field to go its own way...

  • Sounds like John Lee Hooker to me. Great playing, amp & guitar combo.

  • That'd be a Kawai S180. Probably '66 or '67. You're quite a talented player.

  • @taylortheadequate

Thank you, Sir. I'm just glad if you can enjoy this tune. I've also found online the "S180" reference for this model a few weeks ago (so that I've made other shots with this guitar & reference). Take care.

  • That's a Kawai, very similar to the Teisco SS-4L. Great sound from that amp!

  • Dude I have the same guitar, every thing is the same! my grandpa picked it up in the phillipines during the war. I need some info on it. Mine needs to be restored a bit, I need a nut and a string bridge for it. Maybe you can help me out and getting me started with it?

  • Hi man,

nice guitars and amp! You're a good player too. What kind of guitar is this.

    peace

  • Thank you, sir.

This one's is an old japanese, with no label... Maybe Kawai ? & it's pretty close to the last Teisco models... It seems that Hound Dog Taylor have used one of these among other guitars...

The amp is pretty cool too & playing is just foolin' around, so if it sounds OK to you, it should be as well to me.
