I'm scared to know how it will be in a few years... I thought Al-Manar was bad... This is disturbing and shamefull! I pray for the day that Lebanonese Media will be accountable for what it says...

I totally agree with you that the Lebanese media are very disturbing and so far from being transparent, but if that was true?

Are we buying Lebanese people and getting use from the hard days to throw some money to ensure the people dependency!!

Anyway, I think that this is so shameful for our Lebanon; I was always criticizing the other Arab country for this attitude!!

Concerning the problem with giving money to people to demonstrate: this is the biggest problem in democracy (if lebanon is still democrartic) because people are not free any more. Money, religion, emotions are things u must not use for political interest. When u take money ur not free to say or to act as a free citizen. In any other civilised country, saad would have been arrested for what he's doing.

I agree with you, demonstrators should never be paid to voice their opinion, but in Lebanon unfortunately, we stopped doing anything for our country, everything we do is for ourselves, our religion, our hezb, our pockets... And this is what is tearing us apart... But if Saad was giving the people back the money his father took from them, then atleast thats a good start ;) unlike some people who take the money and run away to other country and come back when it runs out...

i agree with you and the point is there. however regarding the late Rafic Hariri stealing money i think its a bit stretched. This takes a long discussion and throwing a hint like this is unjustifiable. May he rest in peace and hope we all learn that what he would have wanted us to do was to put our hands together and keep biulding Lebanon. I remember a time before Shaik Rafi2 was assasinated where we used to say that he robbed the people, but I would of willingly given him all my money, and my home, and everything I would ever own if I knew that one day, he would loose his life to free lebanon! If I am a reporter, and I go to a conference of highly intelligent people, and I find 10 retarded men and women (who where there our of pity) from a crowed of 1 million, and I only interview those retards, and say things like "Today we have a conference full of intelligent people, lets see what they have to say"... You as a viewer would think that the entire crowed was retarded, and this is called being a bad jurnalist, and a liar, and this is very dangerous in jurnalism, its unethical!

anyway, the people (especially in the north) are more and more poor, anymoney could help, I'm with distributing money and against using this money to buy people.

why 52 M$ now? why not at the beginning of this cold winter? it's a pitty, but I have to accept it because my people need it, but I swear I would'nt accept it for me or my family even I was starving!!

Mayder77; you know, the trip from the north would cost you that money in gas... Plus any damage that will happen to your car would be even more than what they are giving these people... This money isn't going to pay for people to eat, its going to pay for transportation. I remember they used to give us gas coupons to so we could go protest, Its not like this will pay to feed your kids unfortunately... But at least they give these people what would amount to the day's expense, its not guying them

Ok, i agree concerning the interview with those people. Unfortunatly, in lebanon there's a war between the medias. When LBC or Future are attacked, they'll defend themselves and vice versa. Future and Lbc are using the same unethical journalism. And believe me I prefer that kind of war and i hope it will remain between medias only. Let's take the good part of things...

But the media is where all wars start unfortunatly, the media was responsible for the American war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and I'm scared it would be responsible for a new civil war in Lebanon if it stays like this... By the way, are you seriously telling me that Lebanese would leave everything, their work, their home, and go into the rain for hours and stand there yelling and chearing so they could get 7 dollars? I really doubt it, if they give 100 dollars to pay for gas and transportation, then thats a good thing, Infact, that is the proper thing to do because these people need it! If anyone tells you that any of the polititions in lebanon want the Lebanese people to live, then they are lieing to you! The second lebanon becomes strong, and the people become relaxed, then they would stop caring about politics and polititions, and these traitors would loose their advantage! Hezbollah, Future, Amal, Owet, FPM, PPS, all these nice people are working together to make sure Lebanon stays down so they can be important... I cant wait till all these old farts kick the bucket...
