In almost every church in the United States women are still held to be less than the men. Obviously you don't go to church or you are just postering for the crowd here. The Southern Baptist Assn refuses to allow women to become preachers. They can be Sunday school teachers but not preachers. Now tell me that isn't oppression. There was a child about 20-some yrs ago beaten within an inch of his life, covered in gasoline, then set on fire by his deranged father. In almost every church in the United States women are still held to be less than the men. Obviously you don't go to church or you are just postering for the crowd here. The Southern Baptist Assn refuses to allow women to become preachers. They can be Sunday school teachers but not preachers. Now tell me that isn't oppression. Why is the status quo still held that the "man/husband" wears the "pants" in the family? I wear them in my family. I handle the bills, the kids, the house, & appts.

Unless you lived in those times & somehow managed to still be alive today to tell the story then NOBODY can tell the WHOLE TRUTH, not even the bible... It was written from a point of view. Visit a car wreck w/10 witnesses. You'll get 10 different stories from 10 perspectives so don't bust a gut demanding somebody SHOW you the truth b/c it just ain't happening b/c nobody was there to view it personally to make their own judgment & I think much of this is total crap just to sell books.

I never said he wasn't real. I just said there is no indication that he HAD to be divine. He could have just been a good person with a gift to heal and bring people together w/o fighting each other. There are people on this planet today who can heal but does that mean they are divine? No. So what makes everyone of you believe Jesus HAD to be divine when he could have just as well been a good person with a healing touch yet still be human & nothing more. Get over yourselves. You weren't there.

Since you are telling people to get over themselves, why are you taking the time to bash Jesus. You have not meet him either. Maybe it is you who should get a life. He has not done anything to you. Second, why do you care what other people believe. You are not going to change a thing! I do believe the atheist movement is paying you a dime, so why should you care. You should get over yourself, now that sounds like a great plan.

I'm not BASHING Jesus. All I'm saying is that he didn't have to be divine to be a good person w/ the gift to heal. Doctors heal every day. Are they divine? Counselors help the downhearted. Are they divine? Or, could it be these people were simply born with a gift? I think the latter makes more sense. Read up on a little known term called Occam's Razor.

I understand what you are saying. However you tell me one person that can walk on water or calm the sea. Tell me one person who can bring someone back to life without medical supplies. Tell me one person who can turn water into wine just by moving his hand. or how about someone bringing themselves back from the dead after being dead for a day. I have yet to see one person on this earth do any of these miracles. That is why he is divine.

There are many causes where someone was pronounced dead yet came back to life. It's in medical journals. One man woke up at his wake, alive. Certain drugs and herbs can slow the heart-beat & body's functions giving the appearance of death, esp in that era before modern medicine. The rest can be chalked up to rumor & conjecture like King Arthur, Camelot, Robin Hood, etc.. Some basis in fact but mostly fictionalized over time by rumor & exaggeration. Human, not divine.

I disagree with you and you can believe what you want to believe. However, all I have seen you do is make up an excuse and call rumor or fictional. Like I said before there has only been one man that was killed by the people, stabbed, beaten, hanged on a cross, etc. and then come back to life. I have yet to see anyone else do it. Good luck in whatever you do.

There was a child about 20-some yrs ago beaten within an inch of his life, covered in gasoline, then set on fire by his deranged father. Even when all medical personnel didn't think this little boy would survive, he did and not only did he survive but he grew up and became a wonderful young man. I mentioned before how a man woke from his casket during a viewing. He was pronounced dead but wasn't. Somehow he hung onto this plane long enough until finding his way back. Lucky, not divine.

You weren't there to actually see it so what makes you think it happened. It isn't as if you can "prove" it did. All you have is something written in a book that was mostly mis-translated and unless you can read practically dead languages then translate them perfectly, which is virtually impossible since no language translates perfectly, you can't say you KNOW this happened or that happened b/c you don't.

You were not actually their to see the Inquisition or the civil war. so using that as an excuse is not going to cut it this time. You always try to get around those points, if you don't know the answer than just say so. The bible is prove and the recent discoveries of temples, text, and Nephilim( giants), were discovered just like in the bible. All the is proof, even the chair of David is under the Queens thrown. So yes, Jesus did exist and it did happen. Thank you.

If you live your life believing only in what can be proven you will never believe in anything. Do you believe in science? Science proves itself wrong constantly. The point is that there are MULTIPLE texts ancient in origin that back up one another. It's like people saying they don't believe in aliens because they haven't seen one, yet the odds of life in the universe other than that on this planet are staggering. Lean not on your own understanding. Seek and you shall find..God bless you.

If YOU spend all your time taking a book written by unproven authors & chapters chosen by priests to control the people of the time then you will loose the science & the need for proof, which will put you among the masses who have a massive case of tunnel vision. It seems you're the one w/ problems w/ science. And, in the words of Carl Sagan, "anyone who believes we are the only intelligent life in the infinity of the universe is truly arrogant." It's scientifically probable so it's likely true.

Wake up and get over yourself already. The body was cleansed, not embalmed. He didn't die in Egpyt where they mummified the dead and embalming in the form as we use it now hasn't been in use for all that long. Even during the 1700-1800 most people were only put in wooden boxes and buried following death with exception to the cultures who burned their dead as a ritual.

Professionally gifted magicians make the seemingly impossible occur each time they are on stage or performing out in the public. It looks miraculous but it turns out it is nothing more than slight of hand. I'm not saying Jesus was a magician but herbalist women were burned as witches after beatings, & other physical torture. They weren't evil, the one's running the witch trials were. Just because something is different doesn't make it evil.

It's also full of conjecture and lacking in proof of any kind when you take it at face value. Plus, there is nobody around today that was there in the "them" to undeniably proclaim tney witnessed ANY of the events. It's like legends. They start w/ a small seed of truth then grow well beyond the realm of total belief b/c it's just too impossible. & improbable. & isn't it amazing how this "bible" puts men in charge & ahead of & better than women at every turn? It's too subjective as well.

The oldest texts are actually Egyptian; they are 5000+/- a couple hundred yrs old & they include religious documentation; Hinduism holds the next series of records, older than Christianity, & they're at about 3400 to 3600 yrs... To answer your question, I've read the bible & it's obvious it's mistranslated & likely salted by those who put it together. The thought processes & supposed morals are overly contradictory.

The Bible puts men in power over women?...no no no no, the spirit of greed and power that is in us all, regardless of sex or race, makes people want to have dominion over others. The Bible is just a book, a book full of words and poetry, history and visions. Sorry but you're wrong, the Bible doesn't do anything that we manage to do just fine by ourselves. Realizing the truth in what it says is a different battle all together.

Monkey: You've obviously never read the bible then. All throughout the bible women, wives/daughters are chattle belonging to their fathers as property until they one day belong to their husbands. Few to no women had any power, which begs one to wonder why the books w/powerful women in them were never included in the King James. It's a greed & power trip all right. It's a greedy power-trip for men since christianity. In paganism there was equality btw men/women & it pre-dates christianity.

I'm starting to get the picture, you are into femenism, and free choice . Femenism is no better than male chauvanism, it is an illusion of superiority, we are all equal, free choice is murder, if you don't want to have a child, use a condom. Perhaps you should stick to the new testament and the message of Jesus, which is definately one of equality. The old testament is Judaism, and it reflects ancient middle eastern thought. It's crazy how people HATE the Bible, it's a history book.

Oh and yes I do read the Bible and I am aware that not even then or now would anyone in the history of the world be able to fully understand or interpret the words of the Bible properly. Mistakes do happen. You have to realize that when women were experiencing hardships and borderline slavery it's not because they listened to the word of God, it's because they listened to the god of this world....lucifer, the prince of the power of the air.

Monkey: NO. It's b/c they had not choice. Women were chattel to their fathers then horse-traded to a husband going from 1 master to another. If she dare say no it was what? Oh yeah, she'd be a heretic & sinner b/c she wasn't honoring her father just as your good ole' book says. Read any history on Joan of Arc? She was religious & was used for it then murdered for heresy b/c a woman didn't have the genitalia necessary to speak to god, only bible-thumping men who twisted scripture did that.

ranger, Jesus affirmed Himself as God in the flesh many times in the Bible. The diety of Christ is equal to God the Father and the Holy Spirit quite lieterally, so we're not worshipping man, but God, which came in the form of a perfect sacrifice for our sins.

A major contradiction is w/ the stigmata theory. It is scientifically impossible to nail someone up by placing nails thro' hands & front/top of feet. Skin/tendons would rip/tear w/o holding. It would take nails in the wrist at Destot's space to hold the upper torso & at an area much higher & @ a diff angle at the feet. It's but 1 of many contradictions. Stigmatists suffer from psychosomatic symptoms or some other form of mental illness. That's the irrefutable science & 1 of many I've found.

The old testament is JUDAISM! I follow the NEW TESTAMENT! I also study ALL RELIGIOUS TEXTS! Including ANCIENT TEXT like the Sumerian Tablets! the fallen angels are not released. they never have been kept. as it says, they left heaven of their own accord. only one released is satan. once the 1wrld govt is formed. yes the fallen have a part in the great deception, but the great deception simply is that satan is pretending to be jesus returned to trick all to worship him.
