THis format is hard to follow. You posed a question based on a reply I made to a comment posted by TaylorBarlow. The answer is no, you don't have to be a christian to want to help people. What part of this is confusing you?
windy39. Absolutely not. TaylorBarlow is a self-proclaimed christian. So i was posing a question he or she never answered to. Personally, I don't need a fantasy book like the bible to tell me what is moral and what is not.
Actually, we do have a right to food. In america we are born equal. We pay property taxes so those who own no land and can grow no food have the right to eat - if they have no means....idiot. It's America. When you greedy stupid mother fuckers learn what america is all about...then this country will be great again.
Lvmyh2, I get that you worked hard for your money, but this is not about communism, this is about humanity. At leaste admit that you have no empathy for the poor. Its not about being lazy, it could be about mental health, or a set of circustames that would challenge anyone. If we as a country cannot share the good and the bad, then what makes us the greatest country in the world? Without compasion and love for others, we're just a pretty place on the map.
What of have become as people where there is no compassion for those in need. In fact the direction now is to make it harder for people to survive. The well off in this country will never share, its just not in their nature. That's how they became rich, hoarding. Sure they work hard and caught a few breaks, but most had help somewhere down the line, and now are denying their opportunity to help those who really need it. Sad indeed.
What do you do for a living? We have the right to life, and liberty? If so, then we have the right to health care. This is one for all and all for one. Read Common Sense by Thomas Payne - Read "The Second Bill of Rights" by Cass Sunstein. You logic is based in selfishness - not selflessness. If your comments were true - home school your kids because you have to make the opportunity for them to learn. Don't put that on me...I won't pay for it.
Socialized medicine is a crock. The primary reason our healthcare system is subpar is because of government involvement, not in spite of it. And even as bad as our healthcare system is, countries with universal healthcare have worse healthcare systems than we do. People come from Canada to the United States to get medical care, which is a pretty damning indictment of Canada's healthcare system.
And I am obligated to pay for everyone to have health care? I hate liberals and their inability to think past stage one of their unfounded emotional idiocies. You are wrong! Sir!
Yes, you are obligated to help your neighbor. As am I, as is my neighbor. We have the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. No health care...possibly no life....the other things...won't matter....Are you a christian?
It's easier for a rich man to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for him to enter the kindom of heaven....is money the root of all evil...or is it the love of it....it's america...get ready we are going to join the rest of the world....
Wrong! You have a right to create a situation on your own, which will allow you to obtain health insurance. Get a better job, get a better education, rely on your family, rely on your friends. It is not my obligation to support you.
You are a very selfish person.. let poor people without the money to get healthcare die and rot.. not your problem. I'm glad I'm blessed to live in a country where that does not happen and people like you are in a very small minority.
Great!...We Need a Vice President Please accept!..
