@MyLatestEscape ....if you take a listen to Dexys Midnight Runners or the Bureau, you'll hear where they stole their ideas from. Probably because Jeff Blyth is in the band.
Just love it! Despite the questionable video work by Letterman's show's video team. But, then, once you see the NRK teams 'do' band footage, you understand why they win many awards for their composition, control and variety. Just wish you could get yourselves invited to Norway so 'we' - NRK - could show you off. Happy trails.

These guys are a joke, playing the racist ''typical Irish lazy drunk'' card. I went red with embarrassment.
You wouldnt see an african american band singing ''hey bitch, im sorry, ill go off the crack and chicken wings and even stop get my lips size reduced''. LAME>>>>>>>>>>
I don't believe they do. I saw them there back in '95. After the Guinness music festival they came back and played to the wee hours of the morning. It was a great night!
They play at Connollys pub, 121 W45th in NYC. Its between Broadway and 6th Ave. play mostly during the fall and winter pretty much every saturday. most of the time its 21 and up to get in. check the website to make sure they are gonna be there though
I saw them last weekend at my local watering hole. I had a real drunk conversation with Larry, at least I was really drunk, don't remember what we chatted about. I love those cats.
I first heard about these guys a few years ago, saw them live, and I tell you, they are a fun time. Hope they come back someday. Never knew they had videos. Thanks for posting.
i miss black 47. havent been to a show since I got kicked out of connoly's 7 years ago at for telling Geoffrey Blythe he wasn't "blowing hard enough" during Funky Ceili". my bad dude.
These guys played in the Catskills just a couple miles down the road from me this weekend and I couldn't get a babysitter--AAAAAAARRRRRGH!!! They're the best!
Give us "The Boxer" or better still, "Traveling People" With that boom-boom bass drum entrance, and Pierce's intro on a "Moog" . Bell's Bliss. !

I always laugh when I see him sing, 'cos he definitely doesn't look the way his voice sounds... it's a shock, but a good one.
Plus he can crack a good joke.
