"vampire Weekend" is a great,refreshing pop album. It reminds me a little SKA, not for the punk rock sound but for evident Afro Beat inffluences.Like The Specials, and the Madness. They describe their music like "Upper West Side Soweto", but essentialy their debut and album is a great song-album, with grimmy, fresh pop style.and principally unpretentious. they are great and very talent but they dont want us to see that. And i think that´s the secret.The music listeners (like me)appreciate that.
