I'm a NE2 owner...the Epianos and organ are sick...but I heard the NE3 has vastly improved the piano sounds which suffer on this unit in my opinion. Im definitely going to upgrade
@101bbh Another Keyboard to consider is the Korg SV-1....It's acoustic pianos are ROCKIN and in my opinion has more meaty sounding rhodes and wurly. The only thing is that the NE3 organs kick absolute tail..hope this helps in your shopping ventures!!! :D
thanx for comments. So I checked out the SV1, and bought a NE3. I am very happy. I don't actually want weighted keys. I learned playing on organ back in the 70'es as a kid, and thus never really played weighted keys.
Thanks man. I've actually moved cities since this was recorded, but we're still writing stuff over the net. Will post an update when a CD's worth of material is available. I like the Electro2 overall. Great product for vintage keys.
i wish i could afford a nord aha veryy good keys, ive played the nord lead and ive played on a vintage moog with a module thats bigger than me phat sounds too bad oim poorr hahaha so i stick toa microkorg =/
Hey, good job, you guys are really talented. What settings are you using on the Nord Electro, and do you use any external effects? I recently became the happy owner of a Nord Electro 3, and I would really appreciate it if you have any tips for the use of this lovely instrument!
Hey, could you maybe refer me to what preamp you're using? Are you using it in stereo? I consider using a tube preamp with my Electro 3, but I'm still going over that mono/stereo issue, and wondering whether the preamp will totally mess up the internal leslie sim.
This is absolutely fantastic! Three 3 of you really gel. Anyone who loves "Watermelon Man" (which is to say: EVERYONE!) would love this enigmatically titled piece. I'm assuming OOBE to be "out of body experience" but I have to plead ignorance about the title of your composition! For benefit of others who may be wondering what does "Sco" mean here?
Hey mate, thanks for the comments. Out Of Body Experience is definitley one of the meanings of OOBE - we have a couple of definitions for this acronym! 'Sco' is short for Scofield as in the guitarist - after writing this tune we thought it had a bit of a John Scofield flavour so went with that name.
hey what auto wah are you using ?

Great playing. Found this due to search on electro 3, which I want to buy. If the 2 sounds so well I guess the 3 must be ok!
Nice to see good playing from down under.

OH!!! also...the action on Nord's is not very real...so if you like full weight in your playing..def check the SV-1. :)

Thanks. In this clip I'm using the Wurly patch. I'm playing it through a Gavatron tube pre into an amp.
groovatious 2 years ago
Also -using the Clav patch with the internal wah.
groovatious 2 years ago
With an external expression pedal ?
Maaaacs 2 years ago
Nope - it changes the open-ness of the wah filter automatically - basically using an LFO.

You guys should def. record music as a career... I'd buy the album.
