K the whole boot camp thing seems more realistic as a jail system. It to me seems like it helps people more than just locking them in a room to rot for 22 hours a day. the 14 year old has my heart. Someone needs to get in that young mans life, get him out from behind those bars and into a rehab program for troubled teens. K the whole boot camp thing seems more realistic as a jail system. It to me seems like it helps people more than just locking them in a room to rot for 22 hours a day. Jail is a failed system and helps no-one especially society as a whole. Society is a failed system as well. It's almost as though people are content with being SLAVES TO SOCIETY, Maybe if the good people changed society crime would be reduced and life could actually return to LIFE A REAL LIFE ABOUT SURVIVAL AND LOVES EVERYTHING:)

Death penalties are the worst form of law. They should not exist and the jail system has failed time and time again. Things need to change and laws should be based on circumstance not as simple as black and white ink on paper. these are people not animals or numbers and each individual person has much different life experiences. Sometimes gang members and murderers have no choice but to gang bang or murder to save their own lives. The worlds become a circus of pathetic people who forget life

I said he was thoughtful and introspective, not "intelligent or a proper person", which is fairly clear since he isn't as mindless as the other prisoners with regard to the unwritten rules of jail. It goes without saying that he cannot be a proper person. He's done horrible things and should not receive forgiveness for his crimes. But he's a human being and his tragic life deserves at least some of our attention.

you can think what ever you want about these prisoners, but bottom line is they are very tough, and I mean mentally, you have to be very strong to remain sane in the prison. And i respect them for that... how ever I must say that I don't wish to ever step into a prison myself, I'm pretty comfortable in my cozy house

I hear a lot of talk about respect on these shows and I understand that in prison an individual must retaliate to any real or perceived "disrespect" lest they become targets for predation. Still, I wonder whether their definition of respect/disrespect is the same as that of non criminals? They don't seem to have a problem beating, raping, robbing and murdering.

the 14 year old has my heart. Someone needs to get in that young mans life, get him out from behind those bars and into a rehab program for troubled teens. Not in a boot camp or something to beat him down even more. You can tell by talking to this young man that his heart is there...yes he committed a crime to get where he is and yes he deserves punishment...but he's a child...and children make mistakes. I pray for this kid that he gets another chance...boot isnt for everybody..
