I've watched many World War 2 documentaries. It was surprising how few German men rebelled against the Nazis. I remember a German man in the army. He despised the Nazis. He escaped to Switzerland. After the war, he lived happily in The Netherlands.

Even when they were freezing to death on the eastern front, the Germans didn't rebel. There was one case of a gun crew who froze to death while manning their gun! They were not allowed to make a fire for fear of attracting the Russians.
