  • nice video response. i watched his work too.

wow, did you did a great work. I can never finish the back part. I always have to ask my wife to finish it.

    friend

    RUBEN

  • Hi Ruben,

Thanks for your comment. I always worry about the back part. I sometimes wonder if people are looking at it wondering if it is badly done and are too polite to tell me otherwise.

    Peter.

  • straight out to buy a pair of clippers, which are the best pair.

  • Hi,

I do not know the best pair.

The clippers that I use were purchased for me by my hairdresser. The brand name is Wahl.

The hairdresser also showed me how to use the clippers. It is important to get the right angle of "blade" application and also to make several passes, in different directions. Good luck with doing your own hair.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • I bet that does save you a lot of money!

Was it weird doing that when you knew you were recording yourself?

  • Hi V,

You are correct, I am saving money and as a result I will soon have paid off the initial capital outlay, the purchase of the clippers.

Trimming my own hair is something that I am still getting used to. Because I have to concentrate while doing it, I did not have the "brain space" to think about it being weird recording myself.

    Thanks for your comment.

PS: Have you finished your exams etc. for the semester?

  • u could probably save loads of dollars trimming yr hair at home. personally i like going to the hairdressers just for a trim. that way i dont mind paying a little extra for a head massage when my hairdresser washes out the shampoo.. relieves headaches and other aches and pains.thanks for yr vid pete. looks quick and easy for a bloke to do.

  • Hi Leanda,

Yes, I used to enjoy going to the hairdresser for that reason, enjoying being pampered and massaged.

Because I clipper my own hair, it takes longer than if someone else did it for me.

It is cheaper to do it myself, as opposed to a barber, but I cannot see the point in going to a barber for something as simple as my hair cut.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • pete, I would suspect communitycahnnel is watching all of us, all the time.

have ot say i sneak around a bit these days..!

use the promoted videos aspect of youtube, its only costs you 10c a click, and you can set your limit of how much you want to spend.

if time is money, its going to dsave you on heaps of networking time.

looks like its the easy way to the top, this is not a ad for google..!

  • I do not understand how it costs you money to watch videos.

Did you accidentally post the comment about communitychannel and offplanetfilms to this video?

  • pete, go the number 1 or just shave, it will do you wonders..

  • Hi Leo,

I think I will cut my hair progressively shorter. Currently, I am using a #3 but I expect that eventually I will move to a #2 then #1 comb, before eventually shaving the remaining hair off.

    A transition period is required.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • Mate I did have a big break away from the tube, was suffering burn out, and I am at TAFE right now re-inventing myself again.

It was nice to have a break away, the tube can be a monster.

  • Hi offplanetfilms and hello communitychannel lovely to be your best mates..

  • Hi Leo,

Pardon, what is going on here? Where communitychannel and offplanetfilms watching this video at the same time?

  • Hey Man! Nice, but have you ever tried to go shorter with your hair? it would look much better! Try a 1mm cut or even a zero buzz... :)

    Cheers

  • Hi,

Yes, I think I will cut my hair progressively shorter. Currently, I am using a #3 but I expect that eventually I will move to a #2 then #1 comb, before eventually shaving the remaining hair off.

    Thanks for your comment.

    Peter.

  • Lookin' good, pete! I'll have to try this sometime!

....Not on me, though. Haha :]

  • Hi Laci,

Yes, I imagine that someone with such lustrous hair as you would enjoy cutting ...

    someone else's hair.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • Love the 'Danse Macabre' soundtrack! You're brave to do all that tidying up at the end freehand — I used to do #1 buzzcut for about 15 years, and never took the #1 off. I'm sure there must be fetishes for this sort of stuff on the net ... ! ;8)

  • Hi Theramin,

Why oh why where you doing a #1 buzzcut, you have heaps of hair.

I never thought of tidying up with a #1. When I was first taught how to "cut" my own hair, I was shown without the #1 comb.

"Danse Macabre" just happened to be the recording at the top of the list on Kevin MacLeod's incompetech website listing. The name had an appealing pun quality to it, and when I sampled it, it seemed appropriate.

Not getting the "fetish" views ... yet.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • dont u dar come near me with those things LOL .... aint noone cutting my hair lol

  • No worries Terri. I will keep them to myself.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • I knew it! :-)

    Looks neat! :P

Coincidentally my dad did this today (with electric clippers) and I got my hair cut as well (by a professional :P)

  • Hi Maarten,

Kudos to your Dad if he cuts his own hair. I have only recently started cutting my own, largely because there is so little of it I no longer need to get it cut my a professional.

    Thanks for your comment..
