This new Wavedrum really doesn't deserve to have the name "Wavedrum". It is so vastly inferior to the original Wavedrum... of course it's now the finest electronic percussion instrument on the market, but the original WaveDrum, with its Physical Modeling Synthesis and incredibly expressive interface is an entirely different and far superior musical instrument. I wish KORG would've made something at least half as advanced as the old WaveDrum, but i suppose it would've been too expensive.
they are two different instruments. i own an original and i am about to own a new one. from what i can see if you can't see the advantages beyond the disadvantages. and it is DJ FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let those drug addled, burnt out clams actually CREATE beats instead of matching them.
The thing will cost a little over 500$ not 3 grand, that would be insane. Check out google, I see them up for pre-order from UK music sites for about 399 pounds.
Great, that sounds a lot better. The site on GoogleShopping must be one of those assholes that trys to rip people off. That being said, $500 is around the price of other brands elec drum pads. I don't want one, but still a LOT more reasonable.

Learning would be awesome, then I could visit Jap speaking areas, not to mention get stuff imported to the US years earlier than normal. Since a lot of Jap media doesn't reach the USA, or it just takes for ever to translate.
