  • it tells you information

  • Kills?

  • Did anyone else hear "Highway to the Danger Zone" playing in their heads during this?

  • The reason why the hawk didnt see the falcon coming down on him or her is because birds of prey never looks up. They are top of the food chain and and never think noting will attack them from above.... i guess from now on, that hawk better start looking up. hahaha!!

  • @bboymong08 It won't be looking up. It's dead.

  • @bboymong08 It cant look up, their spine is WAY different than others.

  • more like red-black-hawk down!

  • Yet another bullshit title on YouTube.

  • NIGHT FURY!

  • ANGRY BIRDS !!!

  • A wounded bird is almost as useful as a football bat.

  • he is not dead, i saw this video

  • my two fav birds dude that red tail was like oh a tree mabey i can nest there lets say hi to the pergrin neighbors the pergrins like get the f*** out of mah house a** hole u mutha f***a

  • it left the babys!!

  • Excellent, really enjoyed the vid, thanks !

  • The two views of the strike look sufficiently different that we may be seeing two different strikes. Clearly, in the second one, though the hawk is knocked ass over tea kettle, he rights himself and flaps his wings to retard his fall. The first strike actually looked more lethal—the hawk did not seem to recover as readily. The film was plainly edited, so maybe the two strikes were reversed, so that the second strike here was actually the first. When the hawk recovered, the falcon hit him again.

  • @ceolen1 Nah it's the same clip, just shown at different speeds.

  • @ceolen1 i'd advise u see an eye doctor or maybe get a cat scan to check for brain cancer if u really believe what u typed that or your really drunk

  • fuck that was fast

  • Pergrines have been clocked at 240 MPH in a dive. That hawk may not have died instantly, but there is a very good chance it didn't live too long after that devastating hit.

  • @Snakeoil8 Yeah, he probably caught a 180mph talon through his body, hit the ground, and bled to death.

  • the worrd killed in the title is misleading

  • Did the hawk really die?

  • @TheVelociraptor15 At that speed.... I would say that if it didn't die it would have at least broken it's wing, which would have caused it to starve.

  • if that aint fast i dont know what fast is

  • Battlefield jungle :D

  • Did it hurt him? Yes it did.

    But the hawk didn't die.

  • @Shadowblood66 You don't know that. If it didn't die right away, it probably had a broken wing at that speed of impact. I'm sure it wouldn't survive with a broken wing.

  • Great footage although the title is a bit misleading. Seems like the Red-tail regained controlled flight even though it got rocked.

  • even though red tals are beautiful

  • Red tails are so up themselves think twice beotch!!

  • for the record, that hawk survived....

  • crow vs pigeon

  • Morro Bay California has a huge dome structure called well morro rock. On Morro rock, lives a nest of peregrines and last time I visited, a Red Tail showed up and one of the adult falcons did this. It was absolutly amazing to see in person!!!

  • I love birds! I like Eagle's the best, then Hawks, the Falcons. Eagle's, because they're strong. I mean, Falcon, cannot do much if he doesn't get the altitude, by then, a Golden Eagle would easily catch him... Then Hawks, they're better for how to say... 'wood fights'. More closed fights, not the fights out in the open. They're the strategiests, and then falcons, if they DO get high enough altitude, they could easily kill a Golden Eagle... Imagine the team of these three birds... Amazing!

  • @TriggerExDude The Peregrine Falcon is one of the most agile and fast birds. It has evolved to fight other birds in the air. Although a falcon is a lot smaller it is much more likely to avoid a big/slow eagle. It's extremely unlikely that an eagle can catch a falcon. Remember, the birds don't just hover in midair and trade blows.

  • @malenfant21 Yes I know that Peregrines are fast, like really fast. But as I said, getting the altitude takes time. Peregrine is the fastest animal alive, and Eagle is not really fast. Even tho Peregrines do have speed over 300 miles an hour, they still kill their prey only 20% of time... So Peregrine's are better for catching smaller and weaker prey, when it comes to Eagle's, yeah don't mess with them.

  • @malenfant21 eagles are not slow XD they can reach speeds up to 50 miles and hour and they could catch a falcon, the peregrine is no the only one, plus, a peregrine falcon flying regularly can only go up to 55 mph, its the diving that makes them fast, not the actual flight

  • @memmex1 Only 55mph?

  • @Moofuhdoo normaly

  • An aerial ace!

  • No bro Pigeotto uses peck. Peak is not an attack. That was more like arial ace anyway :/

  • I don't think the hawk died, but this was cool!

  • Hi

    Good birding

    Keith@WorlBirds

  • I think the peregrine should be our national bird they are badass as fuck

  • this is my chance nobody says it yet "DAMN NATURE YOU SCARY"

  • The Hawk DID NOT DIE you friggin idiots. It simply flew away after the warning shot. If the Hawk's back was broken it would not have been able to fly and would have fallen like a rock. Man some of you are stupid.

  • @Beefboy616 no shit sherlock

  • BROKE ITS BACK MY ASS, AS IF@RED. WHAT DO YOU KNOW OF THE INCIDENT?

  • pidgeotto use PEAK!

  • Hawk: ughh i gotta find these kids some food

    Kids: (Crying)

Falcon: I got you now bitch

Hawk: huh? what is that sound(looks up)

    Falcon: FALCON PUNCH!!!

    Hawk: AHHH!!

    Kids: DAMMMMMMM

  • God damn!!! YOU GOT KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT!!!

  • Chester Knows

  • The peregrine falcon brakes the back of it's victims from above and that's what it did here, so yes, it did not kill it, but it as good as killed it.

  • white

  • The Chuck Norris of birds!

  • Red Hawk Down.

  • @RedDawnIsBreaking good one

  • A natural dogfight

    Awesome

  • Bumps him on the noggin would be a better title. The red tail was flying on with no problem.

  • "Peregrine Falcon Kills Red Tailed Hawk"

    Lies

  • Eject...eject!!

  • Blackjacked that mofo... lol

  • pwned

  • Hawk: oh, there's a new tree, I like it, maybe that can be my favorite roost. Uhh... are those falcon chicks over there? Where's the ma? ........... What's that sou- *Bam!* What the FUCK just happened!?!?

Falcon: Dis is MAH house bitch!

  • @Biblioholic1993

I like what you did there man. You took a wild/natural aspect and you urbanized it with the very ebonistical yo-yo -yo thaaaaaaang !!

  • 0:23

  • this is wherte falcon punch comes from

  • Hawk down HAWK DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The hawk didnt even die.

  • @Herosmashbluehawk It didn't die immediately. It's obviously dead because of this though, from either the impact, the fall, or scavenging animals like crows.

  • Ninja raptor. Amazing video.

  • POKMEON EXIST !!!!! YAY !!!!!!

  • @sdmitch16 - say what you will but could you survive dropping at 200 mph? No! You'd piss your pants or pass out!!!

  • Your missing the point. The peregrine can dive at speeds in excess of 150 mph and strike with precision. It's not about size!!!!

  • Its like pokemon with the move : air slash

  • DAMN NATURE, YOU SCARY!

  • @malvarez1991 how original

  • @malvarez1991 A 7 pound animal was stunned, I'm so scared. How bout a leopard killing an animal 12 times it size when the animal is surrounded by 50,000 of his big horned friends?

  • he didn't kill the hawk you moron.

  • IS this were the dude in avatar movie got the idea of striking from above to tame the beast? XD

  • They don't say the hawk was killed in the video.

  • FALCOWN PAWNCH!!!

  • holy shit that guy came out of nowhere

  • that falcon is like an artillery shell

  • Yeah, the hawk's not dead.

  • How do you know that the hawk died? It doesn't seem to be very injured after the strike.

  • falcon punch!

  • @1oscar05 yessss

    falcon kick

    fallllllcccccoooonnn punch

  • present 4 the thieves...

  • FALCON PUNCH!

  • The peregrine is STILL, my favourite animal.

  • you could almost hear that hawk say (what the fu..FALCON!!!!)

  • The hawk was stunned, but hot damn, That falcon came out of no where.

  • @AlwinRoth Yeah, that hawk isn't dead, just stunned.

  • LIKE A BOSS!

  • @plaebslayer Sonic booms.

  • the hawk didn't die, it even continued flying

  • HULK SMASH!!!

  • @plaebslayer Take note of the size as best you can. I have had good luck with the paint job on the head and neck. In general to help identify birds, pay attention to the way they fly- wing beats... fast? short? languid? irregular? Close to the ground? Where do they like to perch?

  • Its like POKEMON!

  • FALCON PAWNCH!

  • @plaebslayer the wing shape. And tail shape. But it can be difficult

  • the falcon is the damn fast!

  • FUCKER!!!!!!!!!!

  • Actually, the videographer will tell you that the Red-tailed Hawk SURVIVED that hit and flew off! Amazing!

  • HAWKS & FALCONS

Damn Atlanta teams, they can't even get along lol.

  • That ain't Falco.

  • @Missivylady yeah right, is a pigeon...

  • its to a bullet, its more likely punch

  • Falcon Kick!

  • the peregrine falcon are coming each summer to North America from South America so far Peru.

  • TheMarc said: "peregrine falcons are the fastest things on earth"

A Peregrine is fast in a stoop, but probably can't do 100 mph in level flight.Consider the white-throated swift. One source says, "May be the most rapid flying North American bird, has been seen fleeing from raptors at estimated speeds of over 200 mph". A Cessna pilot said they fly circles around him! I had awesome encounters with them in the Sierras. I *know* they fly WELL over 100 mph

  • I'd like this if the title "Peregrine Falcon Kills Red Tailed Hawk" were actually true. Glad the hawk is just pushed away...

  • FALCON PUUUUUUUUNCH

  • THis is why I have this bird as a tattoo. This Bird is small, but it's the fastest, and very strong. Just goes to show that you should never judge a book by it's cover. Otherwise that book might be upside your head before you know it just like the hit from this Falcon to the Hawk. LOL

  • @arealscorpio1 you have a tattoo of a bid? either your gay or a girl.

  • @littelG333 Gay or a Girl?? really .....Well you must be a retarded dumb-ass that can't spell, NOT able/SMART ENOUGH to see the hidden significance in this bird, and realize there are A TON of bikers and TOUGH ppl world wide that have a eagle as a tat....WITCH IS A BIRD TOO DUMB FUCK...or is that too "gay"/ smart for your dumb-ass to understand you fuckin Fag piece of shit!!! Don't bring that stupid shit my way!!

  • @arealscorpio1 Well, since you want to bring up grammar, i'd be glad to bring out the mistakes you have in yours, but I don't have time for that because as I can see, your tempur tamtrums are getting a choke hold on you at the moment. I'm not sure what kind of queer would have a bird of them on their body that's going to stick to you the rest of your pathetic life, have a nice day.

  • @littelG333 ha ha....

  • @OnTheREDPILL it was! I never forget it they were young peregrines, before they attacked the buzzard they trapped a pigeon in the sky and just took it out! They ripped the pigeon apart. By the way this was in the Langdales in the Lake district

  • Awesome!

  • That red tail should consider itself lucky! The only thing I've ever got from the skies is a pile of pigeon poo!

  • FALCO PUNCH!!!!! haha red tail got owned

  • FALCO PUNCH!!!!! haha red tail got owned

  • diving>hitting>fly normally. All that at 200 mph. Peregrine Falcon ftw

  • I saw this happen to a Buzzard in the lake district, two peregrines dived on top of it and the Buzzard just fell out of the sky

  • @HeratyIRN Damn 2 PFs preying on one target together??? I never seen any videos of them hunting together man that would be some pretty rare and awesome footage... thx for sharing

  • DAMN, NATURE U SCARY!

  • I think it got injured badly by the talons but didn't die right away, since it was still trying to descend.

  • that hawk is well dead the falcons got its braines all over its talons,,,its just give it a belt at about 120 miles a hour pluss ,,,, it would be like a bullit hitting you in the eyes,,,please get a grip.

  • @leemster08 The Red Tail was knocked silly, but was obviously not brained. Last seen he was alive and under some kind of control.. I'm guessing he lived. Wish I could have sen it all. I expect that the red tail got under foliage cover to have time to recover. And they are fairly agile on the ground. He may have hiked away from the area. He may not have seen the Peregrines or the chicks but if the chicks were indeed calling at that time, he heard them.

  • the ha wk doesnt die, it just gets dive bombed by the peregrine and gets a bit dazed

  • @0:24 predator missile inbound

  • you , my friend , have a new sub

  • Hey! This is from the PBS "Nature" special "Falcon Force" WOO!

  • 0:23 Hawk: lalala

    0:25 Hawk: HOLLY S*** WHAT THE F***

  • nobody killed nobody

  • damn that was like a heat seeking missle.

  • FALCON PUNCH !!!!!!!!!!

  • FALCON PUUUUNCH!

  • madness that was amazing

  • Mother Nature's "F-22".

  • ICEMAN JUST GOT MAVERICKED

  • Damn nature, you scary.

  • Mother nature's "F-16."

  • There is another version of this where the falcon makes a second pass. It rips the hawks head of.

  • WIN

  • it didn't kill it it regained its balance towards the end

  • So scary, like a f***in bullet.

  • @NearTheLimits Some Peregrine Falcons have been measured flying at speeds that are higher than the service speed of some Japanese Bullet Trains. Go look it up if you don't believe me.

    There ya go.

  • pow right in the kisser

  • Comment removed

  • Owl can kill that Tiny bird in a second

  • Comment removed

  • Owl can take that little bird

  • falcon kick!

  • FAAALCON PUUNCH

  • I've been in the avian field, for many, many, years now. And this was clearly, a "warning" strike. The Red-tailed, is obviously far bigger in size, but didn't see the "death dive" coming, as i like to call it. However, that said, at the speed the Falcon usually dives at, to kill it's prey, it could have killed the the larger Hawk easily. But more or less, caught it off guard, in this example. Very lucky Hawk indeed....

  • @tomtalker2000 great comment

  • @tomtalker2000 does the falcon ever get hurt from crashing into another bird?

  • @beerndumplings Very rarely, but i'm sure it could happen. Especially, if the other species, is just as adept in it's own flying skills. However, there aren't that many birds, that can compare to the "jet fighter" like style, this bird possesses. Raven's can be EXTREMELY agile, but there much bigger birds, and often will pick aerial "dog fights" with falcons, just for the sheer amusement believe it or not......

  • @tomtalker2000 if you would be a bird any bird wich one would you be?

  • @thebestanthe3rd an angry bird. Lol no, in all seriousness, I'd be an owl

  • @dleblanc343 lol, but why i would be a golden eagle dont you think?

  • @tomtalker2000 he sure warns him like a bawwws!

  • @tomtalker2000 cool story, bro

  • Did he died?

  • Dead hawks can flap their wings? Press 9, the hawk isn't dead.

  • hahahaha the babies were like GO MUMMY GO!

  • The hawk did not die...

  • Press 7 to see it again and again and again and AGAIN!

*I dont find this entertaining, but rather interesting how the Peregrine Falcon uses gravity to kill the Red Tailed Hawk. But still... PRESS 7 again and AGAIN!

  • The title is misleading. The Peregrine Falcon did not kill the Red Tailed Hawk. It bird bitch slapped the hawks ass, thats it. If the hawk died then why did it flew away?

  • men this is awesome, the speed of the peregrine is unbeliveble, this is a knockout, bether tan taysons
