  • Screw Lunesta, I'll watch this when I can't sleep.

  • Why the fuck would you LP an RPG? Especially fucking Final Fantasy I, and the NES version no less.

You DON'T LP RPGs. Neither dialogue-heavy JRPGs nor open-ended WRPGs.

They're +50 hour games with at times deep, meaningful stories, dialogue and lore. You LP an arcade game or similar shit, not games you have to put a lot of thought/emotion into.

Why the fuck would you do such a challenge anyway? What's the point? It's not even like an Xbox achievement or some shit like that.

    SHIT

  • @NeoTStyle

I agree with most of your comment, but the last part is BS. Just because something isn't an X-Box achievement doesn't mean it's not worth doing.

  • @ComradeAlpharius

The challenge this guy did is everything but fun. He is only doing it because he wants to feel pro doing it, even though he probably uses an FAQ during the whole LP.

Also, I think I worded that wrong: Achievements aren't really worth doing in the first place unless you really love the game. But what do you gain from doing a challenge while LPing a 27 year old game? Absolutely nothing.

I can guarantee you he's not even having fun.

  • @NeoTStyle you don't need achievements to have extra challenge. look at LoZ OOT. I love that game to the extent where i spent like 4 months completing it with 3 hearts and no deaths. And i got nothing at the end off it, except a great sense off accomplishment.

  • @ZuedaMagargan This isn't a RPG, it is a JRPG. JRPGs give you no realcontrol over story and/or the character's growth. (Mass Effect could remove the level system and be more of a ROLE playing game then most final fantasy games for example)

  • Honestly, the weird border thing happens to me on Crysis 2, not a clue why, its only like a single purple row of pixels thats BARELY seeable without a magnifying glass.

  • 4:25 ...twelvehundred...?

  • I think you become suspended in time when you watch this...

  • I like how you can go can jump from 0:08 straight to 6:30 and the only real difference is the red mage's hp.

  • At least he didn't do what everyone does and dramatically read Garland's dialogue. You know which part I mean.

On second thought, that would have required monologue and emotion - good things that this video are devoid of.

  • i kinda watched for like 2 minutes then just went to check my email its so fucking boring.

  • "Can you dip Maple Syrup in bacon?..." 6:30

  • I kept looking at the time thinking "when is it over?" and it was only 3 minutes...

  • Zzzzzzz.Oh the videos over

  • this is like the mystery science theater 3000 of bad video game palythrough narration

  • LMAO!!! He never had it!!! LOL!!

  • Believe it or not the first final fantasy game did not come out on PS1/PSP/GBA first.

    This is the NES version

  • You insultin' FF1?

  • Well, actually, RPG LPs can work. Just not video ones. For proof, google 'Final Fantasy VIII Altimate Rewrite'. Takes a crappy plot and makes it awesome, trust me.

Also, if you say that Chrono Trigger sucks, I'm going to stab your face. Over the internet. No items, Fox only.

  • I gotta disagree I think video RPG LP's can work if done right. granted I havne't seen many but they can work in theory anyway

  • Sirronlionheart His ff 4 lp is fucking funny His insane haha

  • "Let's play a turn-based RPG that has aged like milk on a solo run and upload it to youtube, it'll be fun."

    Why would you do this?

  • Final Fantasy has always put me to sleep

  • Even the guy who's doing the LP sounds bored out of his fucking skull.

  • Action RPG's are good though.

  • If you watch this while sick, you WILL fall asleep. I'm dead fucking serious.

  • @KnownEnemy2 It could be the perfect video if you need to get rest or whatever.

  • this guy sounds like he says stuff like UMM WELL ACTUALLY ITS PRONOUNCED.... quite often

  • Again, I must express my surprise at Diabeetus's sudden burst of anger at 4:35. He's usually so calm that it's funny to hear him pushed to the limits of his patience. He speaks for everyone, I think.

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
