6:13-6:30 To give an example of this, on H5 (and I'm not kidding about this) all the thieves for the first few chapters can double you (some of which in chapter 2 have 15 speed) half the enemies in chapter 3 H5 have around 38 Hp, as well as the boss, who has around 41 Hp, 14 strength, 10 skill, 14 speed, and has a Hand axe, so he can't be picked of at range. Did I mention that the chapter 3 thieves have superior stats across the board (sans luck) to the recruitable Myrm there?

The graphics are wonderful. They're 3D but not the questionable DS 3D. They have a quite nice cell-shaded look to them. The GBA animations were a little too ridiculous for me.

I honestly think that these animation are better than say sacred stones for the reason that to me they look more realistic then the ones in sacred stones and so on. That's just my opinion.

I don't have a problem with the animations themselves, but with the quality of the "sprites" (Not sure whether to call them sprite or models in this case, sort of a faux 3D gimmick with them). They look very reminiscent to the crappy attempts by the GBA to make a sprite that looks 3D, and don't take advantage of the DS' more powerful engine, while other aspects (portraits, backgrounds, sound quality, etc) do. Maybe they wanted to be like the "Radiant" series, but it looks lazy to me.

This is my first and only Fire emblem game, I always wanted to play one since melee, but I didn't know where to start, so when I heard there was going to be a remake I thought it would be a perfect place to start.

I have enjoyed it so far and I do like the battle animations. I haven't beaten it yet, but I think I'm close. After I beat it I think I'll try path of radiance next, what do you think?

So far the only problem i have with this game as MK404 said, there are some characters without dialogue. That and the lack of support conversations makes me miss the in-depth story of the characters. However, since this is a sort of remake of the first game, i guess i could forgive that a little.

I like the animations too. The only thing I really don't like is how you're rewarded with sidequests and new characters for getting so many characters killed, you have to use your soldiers as cannon fodder to get them. (Even a Fire Emblem n00b can keep more than 15 characters alive). I assume you're going to do the cannon fodder side quests?

Animations are fine, that's not a problem I have with the game, especially considering FE9 is my favourite FE (which has really stiff animations).

As far as OTT animation goes. I'd say Leaf's critical takes the biscuit. :)

I like the animations in this game. for me the main problem was the artwork. Its not bad but it doesn't feel like the fire emblem 6, 7, 8. and 9 i've played because it looks comparitively darker and less colorful. and also I am looking forward to this LP, also theres the question if you are going to be doing the extra chapters?

I agree with you Ray in the fact that I like the animations it makes it seem a little more realistic and while I find the reclassing system to be novel and interesting I usually get caught up trying to match each character with their best class and it gives me a headache trying to plan it out while playing.

For what it is, I like Shadow Dragon. The goal? To re-tell the epic adventure of pantsless Marthy Boy and friends. Although the support convo's were weak, I find it not to be a huge loss because it's essentially a remake. If Marth COULD premote, he would be the BEST LORD EVER!

I've heard a lot of complaints about FE10 and FE11, and personally, my biggest complaint is the lack of a decent Support System like 7, 8, and 9 had.

And a guy by the YouTube Username of atokad11 believes that this is entirely Intelligent Systems' Fault, calling IS a "mediocre game company" or worse.

Personally, I can enjoy those games even with those flaws. And Ike has ALWAYS been a true Badass Normal, especially in Radiant Dawn. :)

@Renigade67 yes yes you should! every FE game has a red and green duo, ever since the original, actually they call these characters the 'Cain and Abel' archetypes, and yes, Oscar and Kieran fall under these archetypes! Usually, Cains are the loud ones wearing red, and Abels are the shy-ish ones wearing green, and they usually are friends with some sort of rivalry.

@CinderGamer Sain and Kent for FE7 (but i think the personalities are inverted in that one... haven't played FE7...) and for FE 8 it would be ummm....Forde and Kyle. Usually these two characters involve characters who are loyal to the main lord, in FE7 , loyal to Lyn (at the beginning) and in FE8 loyal to Ephraim.

There are other archetypes as well, like the prepromoted teacher unit (who is usually a Paladin) called the Jeigan, or the Navarre (an enemy myrmidon who is recruitable) and so forth.
