  • WorkChoices was a great piece of Workplace Relations reform which helped achieve Australia's record low unemployment levels in 2007 and 2008. Too bad the unions brainwashed the Australian public into believing they would all lose their jobs. WorkChoices meant one thing to unions - a threat to their power by reducing membership numbers.

  • haha i love Albanese, always eloquently vocal. The best from the inner west

  • that was great.

  • arguably the funniest thing i've heard this year.

  • Good on you Wilson Tuckey! That's how you deal with that arrogant Julia Gillard. She is so full of herself.

There are so many other important issues to be dealing with other than worrying about the number of workchoices mouse pads. Typical labor dingbats.

  • you sure do not watch parliament enough. This is how it is all the time, Senate hearings are even worse. and it's from both sides, not just 'Labor dingbats'. Perhaps you can recall when once again Wilson Tuckey went off at Paul Keating when he was Treasurer about some girfriend and calling him a nong, when Howard refused to quiet him down when he was asked to, and since then all bipartisanship gone?

  • how many mouse pads ???!!!!

  • no its by far the best way.. because if they cut workers earnings they can afford to employ way more people.. therefore greater performance, and eventually that will lead to higher income increase, and higher employment rates.. see people cant wait for something good, because eventually they would have thanked the liberal gov for workchoices

  • If you cut peoples wages they will have less to spend and some buisnesses will go broke , workchoices was pure class hatred which was correctly dealt with ,now fuck off .

  • "The WorkChoices changes were intended to improve employment levels and national economic performance. They attempted to achieve this by making it harder for workers to strike, by making it easier for employers to force their employees onto individual workplace agreements rather than collective agreements, and by banning clauses from workplace agreements which support trade unions." as for wilson tuckey, thats why i like him, i agree with everything he says and does. its my right to do so.

  • Well that's just the wrong way to try improve economic performance isn't it. If you give your workers a fair go they will show up to work each day. If you try pulling something like workchoices on the Australian people you get CRUCIFIED in the election! Which is what happened...

    To YOU dumbass.

    Feel stupid?

  • omg big deal.. labor is shit all they can dig up on the liberal party is mouse pads.. the work choices were actually a good thing, so dont listen to what this dumb bitch is saying.. wilson tukey.. hope he gets liberal leadership!!

  • What makes you think workchoices were a good thing? I am a company owner and if i wanted too, i could treat all of my employees like shit, hold their pay etc etc without any action being taken against me, thanks to these laws.

As for Wilson Tuckey, he is a racist criminal. He got his nickname 'Iron Bar' because he nearly killed an innocent aboriginal after beating him with a steel pole over and over. He is currently the only federal politician with a criminal conviction.

  • I'll explain it to you.

Workchoices allow for increased supply side efficiency (being a company owner you should know that) and thus with increased efficiency through mobility of resources (nothing to do with treating your workers like shit) the company will have greater efficiency and productivity thus leading to a greater output per unit of input. This means increased international competitiveness and cheaper goods and services leading to a greater standard of living in Australia.

  • Not quite, as I was talking to my lawyer about this very thing, and have a family member who got screwed over because of it.

I do agree that there are good parts in it, but some of it is nothing short of disgraceful.

  • omg big deal.. labor is shit all they can dig up on the liberal party is mouse pads.. the work choices were actually a good thing, so dont listen to what this dumb bitch is saying.. wilson tukey.. hope he gets liberal leadership!!

  • That is one of the funniest things I have ever heard.

  • Good old Wilson Tuckey!!!

  • I wish this video included Gillard's reply to Tuckey's question. That was hilarious!

  • I never thought I'd actually say this but... that was one of the best one-liners I've ever heard

  • Gillard is a champ, star of question time no doubt about it

  • Much more witty than his "fat so-and-so" or the sarcastic recent aboriginal settlements.

Ah, the only criminal in the house as Paul Keating loved to point out.

  • Wilson Tuckey is a piece of vomit but you have to admit that was a damn good line.

  • I gotta say.. That was an awesome line from Tuckey.. In good rare form!

  • Go Wilson Tuckey! put a sock in it Gillard, you can't govern you bloody commie!

  • lol! Gillard and Tuckey seem to be the funniest performers this year so far!
