Check out "Mommie Dearest" as a horror movie, or "Ivan Drago," which is made to look like a sequel/spinoff of "Rocky 4." Also "Janis Bueller's Day Off," which makes the real movie look like a horror movie, is awesome. There are lame ones too, obviously, but those three I mention are really well done. And you usually do very good work regardless of your intentions.
