Ice been looking at these comments about pple saying 400ex ar not fast. Ive had my 400ex for a few weeks and I personally like that quad over my new 2008 cam am ds 450. I kno the ds wouldn't stop on that hill (cuz it's the fastest quad I've ever ridden) but nor would of the Honda if known how to ride properly with pants. From experience, hills are much, much nastier than any video shows. When it looks flat, there is a slight hill, when it looks like a slight hill, it is usually a cliff.

@rockman12367 Your 400EX doesn't make nearly as much nut as any 450, that's the difference. Even a 450R, for that matter, and that's the slowest 450 I can think of. Horsepower is cool, but torque is the difference. Climbing hills is improved slightly when your machine has a bore comparable to that of coffee can.

awesome, there is a gravel pit by me with some hills about that size that i went to with my 300ex, and i decided i was gonna make a new hillclimb, and it was just like that, i hit it in second, there was a big bump at the bottom, then like strait up, and then at the very top its really steep and it starts revving really low and you think its gonna staul then it slips on the grass and revs up and u make it. its a really fun and scary hill

@ThebigHurtt no the swing arm bushings were shot from years of beating befor i got it and i didnt notice it so the swing arm shifted just enough to throw it of the back sprocket...i used parts of the old swing arm and fabricated a new one from tubing cause the housing was also broken were it mounts to the frame.
