  • Good luck. Don't press the son to hard to do what u want. Bytheway. After a nearly 30 year association with my karate school, I have recenly moved on and joined a school that only wears white gis. I'm neither better nor worse, and the gi colour has not impacted on my training. Cheers

  • Regardless of the colours of your gis or the effectiveness of your applications I admire the bond you've gained by training together - father and son. My son is 3 years old and I hope that I can have this experience with him one day too. Keep up the training!

  • Awesome!!

  • Im only a blue belt 2 stripes. And is there anyway like..i could change the colour of my white gi to a different one...+ those guys were pretty damn good.

  • i like the exploration of bunkai , there is so much to try out and i liked those neck throws , i did that once dyed my gi with red pants went pink , but it didnt make me any worse i just had to put up with gay remarks all session

  • It really has degraded to simple basics???

  • Thanks 4 the reply. No problem with your views. Always best to be direct. I appreciate that traditional colour for gi's in karate is white. Yet other styles have other dress codes. The Chinese are very much more colourful, and, indeed, GojuRyu kata have Chinese roots.(Southern China,White Crane via the intermediate island of Okinawa (Naha-te), and on to mainland Japan.) Of course, If we took ourselves too seriously in coloured suits, then we would be blowing smoke up our own ass'es. Cheers

  • Your bunkai is not really right for the applications. Also you guys look like some kind of giant sweets, or a karate pimp! Theirs a reason why everone else wheres white, did you really watch the back and say to yourself....''wow we look so cool'' :)

  • Thanks for the comments..., written in the true spirit of Budo. Sorry the pimp outfits put you off so much. Keep up the training. Cheers.

  • Ah you doing that thing where your being nice and all budo like to try and make me feel guilty! Look.... I say to you what I say to the others, I make positive and negative comments, and say it like it is, feel free to make any comments you like on my vid's! Im not going to blow smoke up your ass in the name of budo and respect when I dont thin its so. Your suits are crazy! thats that! Good luck with your karate though and keep training! Osu!

  • I agree with you abut the bunkai, but, about the pimpy gi, who cares? in the old days they didnt wear gi at all, so, whats t he big deal with the colors of the gi? the important is the technique, not what are you wearing.

  • Yes and no! Its all part of the process and discipline, if it doesnt matter then why wear a fancy colour???? do it in a clown suit? or why not just wear white???? why do you think that the majority of respectable schools wear white uniforms, everyone, even the sensei? instead of saying to people to come in what the want? I know why, do you?

  • That´s not bunkai. It doesn´t work.

  • Hi. Thanks for the comment. The bunkai was an exploration of possibilities. Some of it is really effective, and some of it is not. Different physical make-ups will be able to make certain of the applications work better than we have shown here. Cheers 4 now. B

  • What a joke! Pretty uniforms though. Worst kata performance on here so far.

  • Sorry the unforms put you off. We would be keen to see a posting of some of your kata so that we can learn from your expertise. Rgds.

  • not bad of a BunKai

  • thanks for your comment. Good luck in your training.
