my sinks too small so i have to give my two dachshunds one in the bathtub. all i end up doing is chasing them around the tub! by the way does has anyone ever seen a fully black dachshund? because i have one and just wondering because she has different hair type than her sister too who is a brindle.

Thanks so much for sharing. Actually our doxie "Miss Cocoa"on youtube does much better with bathing. She's not crazy about it, but tolerates it. Were so lucky that doxies dont get a strong dog smell, unless they roll in something. Cocoa gets her bath about every 2-3 weeks. She does not like to swim, but will wade in water up to her chest. We spend alot of time on water with a boat and waverunner and have found she LOVES my floating lounge w/ a mesh bottom where she can stand & feel bottom

Before I give my dog (Miniature Schnauzer) a bath, I always put a towel in the dryer to warm it up for him. Almost every time he sees me do this, he knows right away that he is getting a bath, which he then runs up the stairs and hides in my room. There have been a few times when I had to chase him. And he always gives me that sad look too, lol.

a tip to make bath time easier on u is turn down the pressure from the sink hose so it still spraying but not super hard and make the water lightly warm not hot believe it or not it makes all the difference

My dachshund HATED baths, speccially with the "special shampoo" for his skin problems, so we'd have to keep him outside in the cold for 15 minutes... At least he got another shampoo that didn't take as long to clean. Plus he was allergic to most dry dog foods... Poor thing, I hope his new owners treat him well.

That's one great thing about doxies...they fit quite nicely in a sink, and a sprayer is a great way to hose them down. My doxie heads as far away from the bathtub as possible when he hears the faucet run. Maybe he'd like the sink better.

prissy (a dachshund) before she died HATED bath time. we would put her in the tub and she shook all over like you were killing her. oh and she whined like yours did. when the bath was over, after you dried her off, she would go to whoever's bed that gave her the bath and rub her body all over it as punishment

This was too cute. I see they want to make sure you have your bath too. Can you picture bath time with the rotties? Tip hates water also or anything sprayed on him. Sure won't get into the bath tub. If you hose him in the yard, he'll stand there, but once your done, he runs off to roll in the dirt. He's too funny. I didn't even mind the doggie nudity. Lol.
