HIPAA protects you so you can get insurance with your employer or any other third party insurance organization regardless of the infectious disease or how much money it might cost them. In other words, you CANNOT be denied. Not too mention it is confidential. Information cannot be passed to your employer.

@dalastspartan HIPPA lets your future boss know the cost of giving you the job versus giving it to somebody else. Health info is not shared, just cost. That was under Bush.
