@ktmer96 There is something that engages the gears it is called a clutch and gear shifter.... Pull in the clutch lever, push the gear shift either down or up and slowly let go of the clutch lever giving throttle and you will roll....

Everything is working just fine now. but im way to big for this bike now. Sometimes it happens that i take it for a spin.. its still a whole lotta power in it, going faster than some 125cc heheheh

Jets are clogged. Take the carb off and clean it out, take the jets out and buy new ones or spend a few days soaking them to clean them.

your pilot jet is either clogged or too small making it run too lean at low rpms.take off float bowl and find the small screw that is your pilot jet.blow it out with compressed air.bike should run great after that.

I jst got my yz80... bored over 40, new suspension (sp?) anyways... it is so fast... nice bike, it's my first. i sugest it as a first bike to anybody. it is reliable and statrs right up... unlike this bike. have fun everybody!!

I dont give a fuck what anyone says about that bike brud, atleast u have a bike unlike most idiots on here, plus i used to have an 87 with a 83 engine, it was my favorite bike ever ever owned, besides the fact the engine only lasted 2 weekends but, ive owned about 10 bikes in the past 2 years, all 2strokes untill i got my yzf426(current) and i intend on getting another yz80 like that.

Yea i have the same kind of bike hasnt been started 4 12 years before i got it had 2 wipe sown the engine and get a new carb. But there fun bikes 2 ride

i would just buy a working used carb off ebay for it. the bike seems to be around an 83 - 86 i would guess so id just get a carb off ebay prolly real cheap too, then you would have a sick bike.
