We used to have SATs in the UK, but they got rid of them.

Personally, I think your assessment systems are somewhat better, without having to have constant exams all the way through school.

I didn't exactly enjoy French or German, but I haven't done those since I was 14. And most of it was mindless dull work about something I had no passion.

A levels are the last qualification before university. Most people do 4 for the first year, 3 for the second, but at my school normally people do 4 plus a GCSE the first year (or they do 5, 2 combined) and 4 in the second.

A GCSE is the qualification you get at 16. I think you have equivalents?

Well, it's one of the top grammar schools in england, like in the top 30 or something, I just transferred to do my A levels. If I did take it it would be done in one year, do you reckon it would be too much work on top of 3 or 4 A levels?

dude, you can get learning books from a book store, online classes (JOI), physical classes, or just collect knowledge of the language from the internet, you can also get Rosetta Stone, which is supposedly the easiest method, i just do #1 and #4
