The first logo is a BIOS logo, so that should be possible on any board that supports BIOS logo replacements, regardless of the OS. The other logo replaced the Windows startup logo, so that would only be possible on Windows. BIOS logos can only be 256 colors, so it can't look much better...
@hubfred all Asus boards support the BIOS logo replacement with their MyLogo software, but many other support it as well. This is on a Zotac board, so I had to use CBROM (a BIOS module editor) to do it. Also, I missed your question from last Sept. Sorry. I used a program called "Resource Hacker" to replace the logo in ntoskrnl.exe. Worked really well. -Wes
My post on how to do the Windows XP logo is post number 379779 on the XBMC forums.

YouTube won't let me post links to other websites. That's really irritating.
Go to the XBMC forum and search for CBROM, and look for posts by waldo22 (me)

chekiraut, it itsnt that difficult
When your mobo supports mylogo (asus) you can replace the boot logo easy, and the XP boot logo can be done with bootskin( have done this also myself)

@wesleykins Do you know any boards (or mainboard manufacturer in general) that support it?

Awesome, man. Did you use some tweaking software to modify the ntoskrnl.exe or did you perform the modification manually? Thanks.
