this just happened to me and its annoying.

if this happens to you here is the easier way to fix it.

hold the button on top of your ipod and the home button for about 10 seconds this will shut down your ipod then after it shuts down hold the home button for a few seconds again and it will come back on. now its fixed

Hey, can i do the restart way if my iphone 3gs is jailbroken ?

Im not allowed to turn it off or it will lose everything.

My camera is broke, i open it and it opens the shutters and everything it just acts like im not touching the screen and i cant do anything. Same thing when i go to photos, it opens to the last picture i was on and wont let me do anything like move to the next one. Its acts like im not even touching the screen. But everything thing else on the phone works fine.

@burag1 hold in the power button and home button for 10 seconds, let go of THE POWER buton and keep holding the home button for another 8 seconds

plug it into itunes then it will come up a warning sign, exit it then just restart yur ipod/phone :D...i just did it....it definetly works

Hey i need some help. im trying to fix my friends itouch and your trick doesnt work. here is whats happening:

-We were listening to music and all a sudden the entire thing shut off and the whole thing went dead

-The itouch was NOT jailbroken

-When i plug it into my PC it doesnt agknowledge is there at all. usually a little 'installing device' thing would come up, but it didnt

-it wont go into DFU/Recovery mode at all

- we cant call apple support because she bought it in colombia.
