Umm hate to break it to you guys, but I really doubt he made this as a serious song he wanted to sell a million copies of. It was his favorite song growing up, and I'm guessing he was just having fun.
I don't really think Kurt Cobain gives a fuck what anyone thinks. Just listen to the live albums. He sang and played out of tune, fucking up wherever he let himself and the world just ate it up. It's sad to see so many people criticizing him when they clearly just don't have a clue.
stop fucking complaining that it's a shit version, they were mucking around, you can't tell me that you've never jokingly changed the lyrics to a song for fun, your all a bunch of hypocrits.
@RIP...aparently you were in love with him? Then my condolences to your loss....but your anger is unfounded....and as for 'the biggest artist of the 90's'...its subject to opinion...I respect yours, apparently you are incapable of respecting anyone elses?? That would explian the love for him I suppose? Angry, breaking things, sreaming alot, disturbed...ofcourse, its just my opinion...you notice I didnt even have to cuss to offer that opinion? Interesting....
Gotta give ther thumbs down on this one big time...not only did he sound drunk(or on drugs)but he actually changed the words! Terry Jacks would be so upset about this! I guess some songs should just be left alone...dont re-make it if you dont have the talent or the RESPECT for the original entertainers...DIS-like.
@frdfingers Than dont watch the fucking video, you dont need to share your lame ass thoughts on Terry jacks compared to Kurt Cobain the biggest artist of the 90s. God your stupid
@frdfingers Complaining about changing the lyrics is goofy at best, considering that this is originally a Jacques Brel song ("Le moribond"). The lyrics Terry Jacks sang were an extremely loose translation from the original French.
You can't be serious, I thought this was a joke or mockery. So, this is the famous Kurt Cobain? Someone tell me this is some kids on dope making a joke.
"So I am reading the Nirvana bio by Everett True and apparently Dan Treacy had a song titled 'Seasons in the Sun' and it was one of Kurt Cobain's most favorite ever and he covered it live a lot.
Oh well
Whatever
Nevermind
Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT made his mind up - check out their song 'Dan Treacy'."

I tend to like the new and unheard of vids, I believe the REAL fans follow history and honor the real wishes of Kurt.

Yes, this is Nirvana, not just Kurt. Dave on bass, Krist on guitar and Kurt on drums. By the way, Syd Barrett was the first true punk artist.

@IsraelSaves
I LOVE Nirvana, this song is (loosely) translated from Jaques Brels Le Moribond.
Brel is also exceptionally great!
He is considered by many to be the first true punk performer.

This song is.. indescribable.

O.K but I still prefer Brel's version.
