  • Why is this video now private? What happened?

  • why does everyone find the performance awkward?!! it's sweet, maybe sweet first puppy love.. which i guess some would see as awkward, but it's more so cute and fresh to me. also, the vocals are there for the japanese part and the oh oh ohs, but she's obviously NOT lip syncing.

  • She is not lip-syncing. For the parts where the vocals have effects, like the "Hoh-oh-oh-oh" part and when she speaks in Japanese, they have a backup vocal track. Its more practical than having to worry about having someone apply effects to just those parts. I worked at a live music venue for several years that booked many national acts and this is extremely common. If you compare the studio version of the song to this one it is very apparent that she is actually singing.

  • Lol I dont care either. I just randomly found this video and watched it. Her voice does sound good yes. =]

  • 3:18 she so lyp syncs.

  • are u sure?

    how can u tell?

  • Shes far from the mic at 3:18 and yet you can hear her perfectly. =]

  • well i can kinda notice it

    thanks!! :)

    well i dont care! ahha

ik shes a great singer so it doesnt bother me

  • She's lipsinking...

  • just lil hung about the choreo.. but nice song otherwise :)

  • SHE IS SO AWESOME!!! GOD SHE'S HOT!

  • such a cool fucking band

  • They performed the song better on Jimmy Kimmel than how the song sounds on the CD.

  • You think, What other kinds of stylish production values, props, choreography blends are out there since it's seemingly all been done?

    Then there's this.

BTW blue and yellow are pretty hot.

  • mid 60s cabaret pop sleaze?

not exactly what we'd call fresh. See phoenix nights.

  • Very nice song, even though I prefer the first album overall.

@ 3:18 you can clearly see it was lip synched, but I kinda expected it in a show like this.

I know she can sing, so it doesn't really bother me...

  • Really? Lip synched?

Probably my eyes are not sharp enough. Anyone else?

  • not lip synched. theres a girl in yellow who sings underneath her voice throughout most of the song

  • if she is lipsynching

shes doin a preety good job cuz i cant tell

  • While I would agree with you, listen very carefuly... she starts a little later than the backup. You're hearing them at first and then her voice as she actually draws near the mic.

  • I like this song, but the preformance made me feel really awkward and uncomfortable...if that makes sense?

  • ya i agree...the way she's standing makes it kinda awkward...? lol

  • whoa, this song is really cool. i like it.

  • Get their first album, and get Ray Guns. Two really creative and interesting albums. :)

  • cool, thanks! i'm trying to get into them now.

  • i thought the bird and the bee is a video by shanedawnson

  • Ray Guns are not "Just" the future, Jimmy Kimmel.

Of COURSE Ray Guns are the future. Geez. There's other stuff, though.

One would think Kimmel hasn't heard of tubes.

  • I love them, but not too crazy about this particular song. They're music is amazing though. I got into them before they got picked up i guess

  • that makes u a true fan

  • that makes you a douche for thinking liking them before anyone else makes you special

  • Thats a verrry happy security guard, eh?

  • I love the song Kurstin wrote for Britney Spears called Rock me in,

  • The Wigtones

  • Great performance. It is good to know that Disney doesn't have a complete monopoly on what those assholes want us to think is actual "music."

  • i fucking love these guys!!

  • i love them.. great performance..

  • wow. thats fucking weird. They are hmm different. Their stage presence is really awkward. Love the song, not the band.

  • fkin bees

  • incredible

  • Oh my God I want to be one of those back up singers!

  • you mean back up lip singer right?

  • moron.

  • lol

  • "Lip Singer?" I think you meant to say Lip-syncher." Sorry, I am an English nazi.

  • I love it..all is great¡¡¡¡

  • OMFG! Tom Tom Club, Classic Lounge, 60's Pop, 80's dance, a great hybrid of all kinds of feel good genres, while still sounding completely fresh. I bought this record after seeing this performance, and it definitely does not disappoint. Several great tracks.

  • They sound really good live!

  • that was great.

  • oh the clothes are hideous! but the performance was brillianttt :)

  • What instrument is the girl in the green playing? (others are playing xylophone)

  • my friend just introduced me to the band and I'm basically addicted to them now.

  • Lip synched?

  • think sooo

  • not really all of there performances are this good

  • The Birds and the bees used to be good, but this song........... =(

  • OMG !!! I just developed an addiction.... I can't stop listening to this song, someone please pull the plug..............

  • lol same here

  • Please provide links to your discography, TV show appearances and your record label. We wait to experience your musical talent......

  • If you think they are talentless, you don't know what real talent is. Inari has an incredible voice and their songs are better written and much more original than most of the crap that comes out these days.

  • They remind me of Josie and the PussyCats. Pretty cool.

  • damn she is fucking hot

  • They remind me of D.K Smile but american version xP Good stuff.

  • wow good stuff

  • yo digo que ella ya está re peluda pa vestirse como muñeca!

  • I love, love, lovee her voice.

  • she has beautiful eyes.

  • It's ((((Ray Guns are not JUST the future)))) Jimmy.

  • Interesting Style. Nerdy Girl meets Devo Quasi retro Xylophone. Anyway ! Interesting music.

  • they do have insane ideas

  • 70's + Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls and other 80's. Very cool, not more "me too" pop and hip hop

  • Mmhh.... to me it´s more like 70´s, the kind of Unknown music Quentin Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez put on their films sometimes

  • sounds kind of 80s. i like it.

  • inovador , muy bueno¡¡...

    adoro sus trajes ; )

  • Uh, wtf...uh, how do you derive a class-based attack from this music? You certainly have some personal issues you're venting here. Most people just listen to the music to enjoy it.

  • her dancing is so cute!

  • that's logical.

  • One of the bright hopes of music today...keep it going Inara & Greg!!

  • amazing! her voice is so incredibly smoothing.

  • hahahahaa well ....it might...

  • lol, wow

  • I mean that in a good way

  • wow she looks so much like sabra from so you think you can dance ... love the song...

  • She's great live!

    Her voice is just incredible.

  • what's the lead singer's name? she's friggin stylish, the childlike performance is friggin adorable, stylish without excessive movement, just silly little shakes of the head and arms, irresistably entertaining!

  • inara george

  • their costumes are so incredibly simple!

It's just a tank top and plastic.

  • RETRO :P

  • 60's meets 80's electro-wave (Human League, Pet Shop Boys, et al). Love it and love your voice Inara..

  • i think its cute!!.. its not boring,, if you have watched the official video!! ^^ pls watch it first

  • wow, the 60's are back!

  • these chicks are so sexy!!!

  • Awesome performance! One of JKL's top 25 in my opinion...and i watch the show a lot!

  • marvellous and charming. yes, i consider the clumsy choreography marvellous and charming too. no need to mention that the tune is friggin' A+ as well.

  • I don't watch Kimmel so this is probably a stupid question, but who is the security guard guy at the end and why did Inara give him a hug?

  • It's Uncle Frank. Jimmy's uncle. A regular character on the show.

  • It's such a quirky, infectious tune!

  • idk why but i like the singing they did on ellen better but the outfits and coreography are better here

  • I love the song and the backup girls and the choreography and the outfits! This is much better than all that slob rock that's out there right now. Oh! And I love the way the girls move their heads.

  • I think I liked their performance on Ellen better. cuter outfits, imo.

  • same throught but this song is fun to listen

  • I wish I was in their band

  • amazing! love the outfits and the perfect singing! And it's Alex from Obi Best in the background singing!

  • lol i love them, the choreography is so funny!

  • this is so good still!! i went to the show and saw them =)

  • Very nice. Each single of theirs I start liking more and more.

  • theyre gonna be the new sleek devo,,,,if that makes any sense,.....LOVE these girls(and guy)

  • yes I get you and agree 100%!!!

  • this song ROX!!!! they're wussup..i can tell they're going to be a pop icon for the age of acquarius!! i hope they do well...i'm rooting for them...this is like my new favorite song for 09

  • WOW!!!

    They r AMAZING!!!!!!!

  • OMG ME TOO!!! THAT'S SO FUNNY CUZ I WAS LOOKING FOR THEM BECUZ I SAW THEM ON ELLEN!! that's so funny!! aren't they awesome? i especially love this song!!! they're pretty hot

  • OMG yes!!!!

    its such a catchy song!!

  • i also love how she has a presence about her in her performance...both edgy and graceful

  • yeah i think everything about them is great

  • omg that was weird, kinda scary, and it sucked!! i think i might have nightmares.

  • If it sucked then why did you listen to it?

  • Looooove it.

  • I agree!

  • Great song!! 2:43-3:19 is my favorite part, the sudden change to differetn launguage, the weird instruments and sounds, all mkae it sound liek they are aliens that just beeped down to Earth and are communicating with us lol! Awesome! :D

  • they were singing in Japanese. the 'weird" instruments are baby xylophones. i think the whole shebang (dresses and instruments- minus the keyboards costs $25 lol.) awesome song.

  • i saw them on youtube too. i mean, the song is a good catchy dance song, but seriously. this girl is 35 years old. and shes singing this. wow.

  • When does age matter?

  • Exactly.

  • Indeed, she was born in 1974, but looks a lot younger, and not in a sell-out-pop-star-ish way. She's kinda unique.

  • thes there style ... lol

i likee it , it has sonething to it =)

  • She's best !

  • I saw her perform this song live in Virginia. It was amazing.

  • No, actually, music is the translation of emotion into rhythmic words, coupled with an instument or tool capable of rhythmic sound. And as I said before, I'm not trying to hurt anyones feelings, (yours, for example,) I'm just stating my opinion, which is the purpose of the YouTube comment page. If you dont like it, go stick it in your ear.

  • She is amazing live, but I prefer the song not live because its faster! : D

    xxx

  • this is an ethereal dance song

  • She's amazing live.

  • i <3 this song :D btw what were they singing with that japanese language stuff?
