  • You're not fat Nika, you have a perfect, heavenly hourglass figure, along with being one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. : )

  • i think ur sexy

  • Excellent!!! I have been a bellydancer for 9 years now, have 3, kids. but am on the opposite end of it, and get the skinny rude comments all the time and I just wish people would stop hating and be more accepting!

  • GO GIRL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Go girl,, if u got it might as eell say fuck yeah,, I am proud of my body, those dont like it,, get lost...

  • I love for who you are

  • hell yeah! an expression of divine femininity.

  • WOOT WOOT I love fat belly dancers :3 <3

but i love fat girl anyway :p lol

  • PS: First thing I saw: you have really beautiful eyes (:

  • You're not fat and we don't dance so people like us -.-

  • Fat, schmat. You're not fat. Society is screwed up! I am actually off to my very first belly dancing lesson tonight. I'm excited! Keep on dancing and be happy. You look great!

  • So... Should I not watch your videos because I think you're hot?

  • watch my videos of mee losing weight :)

  • I am an ATS bellydancer and I got into it to find my inner strong and beautiful woman. It has given me confindence and it is a ton of fun. Also to be surrounded by such encouraging women is wonderful! I, myself, am thin but we have dancers of all shapes and sizes (all whom are very beautiful women and dancers). Skinny girls can dance bellydance and so can the bigger girls! If you don't like it, don't watch!

  • real belly dancing is best & originally perform by well rounded ladies, such as yourself so you go girls ! Kudos for telling it like it is

  • Hey Nikkal, like your vids..

    Your cute.. ;-)

  • WELL SAID!!

  • We just wont to have fun u.....

  • thanks so much for your encouragement, nikkal! as a fat belly dancer with three kids (and two came at the same time) it's nice to hear that i don't have to stop just because i'm not someone else's physical ideal. doing this makes me happy.

  • You are Beautiful and have inspired me to not be judgemental of myself when I Belly Dance and to not listen to other peoples comments because in the end Im the one Dancing and they are still talking and unable to shimmy like me. Thank you! :)

  • youre an inspiration to

  • You don't owe anyone an explanation, no fluffy dancers do. Some people just have a hard time accepting the fact there IS a place in the world for fluffy women where they acctually excel better at something. However, having said that, the body size and shape doesn't matter. It's the skill level and the love of the dance it's self....it's about being happy doing it no matter what you look like or how good you are. If it gives you joy that's all that matters. Haters are not welcome.

  • Honestly, I would think that belly dancing would be the one dance style that wouldn't need a video like this - in fact, I'd expect the opposite stance. You have to have a belly to belly dance properly, you have to have some padding on your hips to really show the movement and beauty. For belly dancing, I'd expect needing a video encouraging skinny girls that it's okay, really, they can still belly dance if they want to, even if they don't have the natural bounty of their larger sisters.

  • It's not about ones body, but finding ones body??.. Pardon me if I think you still have a knockout body. It all about different perceptions I guess.

  • One love for all the my big girld out there, i love you all7 stop trying to look like skinny models, and stop trying to think you are too fat. its always better to be too something than less ! i love belly dance and specially big girls who doin it. dont listen to people who dont like you, they dont know you. do your thing, and never forget that you got fans everywhere. dont you ovastand what it means? BIG GIRLS ARE THE MOST SHINNING STARS OF OUR LAST DAYS !

  • Thank you so much, you just gave me the confidence boost i needed to start bellydancing!!! I am 21 and have 3 kids and overweight. You are my inspiration!

  • thank you! THANK YOU!!!!! you said it in a nutshell

  • First: Yes, you're right. It shouldn't be about fat or not. It's dance, it's about charisma and skill as soon as you're on a stage. But because we're used to skinny stars we expect our sexualized bellydancers to look perfect, too. I don't think it's right. I just think it's no wonder.

And: You? FAT`? Excuse me? Fat are people who have rolls on their back and not that cool softness you have. What you have is a beautifully shaped body, a waist, a great form! I am a fat dancer..I have rolls! :D

  • i <3 you! thank you for this. i really really needed to hear it! ive been going to Tribal Bellydance classes for a little while now and it makes me feel whole. i cant imagine life without it, and just because i dont look perfect doesnt mean i dont love dancing as much as the next woman!

  • You tell'm sister. But would have loved to see you dance too.

  • I am much much fatter then you. but recently ive developed a love for belly dance. Hey everyone im fat and i belly dance (well i try) haha. Ive never taken lessons and i really want to... Im gonna post a video response :)

  • you rock girl im in your area and am planning on checking out your class i wanna be your student :))

  • Fat belly dancer is good.

  • You are amaziing! Thanks for posting!

    love from Amy Danielson

  • you are empowering :P love it

  • There is NO problem to be a bit heavy. Don't worry about being fat or not. You have charm, that's all that counts. You look graceful and i'm sure you're a very good belly dancer.

  • Um, I wouldn't have ever thought of you as fat. You just look average size to me.

However, I can certainly respect your talent, which you definitely have! :-)

  • fatter the better, got to have a belly to belly dance ;)

  • I totally agree. Luckily not everyone believes that "belly dance = shake your hips and be like Shakira"... she can't even dance well.

Go on this way, Nika Feyrouz!!!!!!!! Greetings from Italy :)

P.S. I'll show this video to a friend of mine who wants to belly dance but believes she's fat... hope it will help her...

  • be you... be hott... forget what the haters say... jealouse little losers

  • I love this speech! This is exactly how I feel about belly dance =D

  • nikafeyrouz, you go girl! You've got wise words.

  • from one dancer to another.... you are great! powerful and full courage. go for it. the only one who likes a bone is a dog. i am a little thick myself and i am also older. everybody needs to dance! life is too short to be a hater or complainer. let any one who can dance better or look better than us get up and dance themselves.

  • from one dancer to another.... you are great! powerful and full courage. go for it. the only one who likes a bone is a dog. i am a little thick myself and i am also older. everybody needs to dance! life is too short to be a hater or complainer.

  • Way to go girl MWA kisses. way to go

  • hell yeah you go girl!!! I agree 100%!!!!!!

  • Are you serious? Not all men like skinny women. I think you are a wonderful person. I have seen many large women belly dance. It is beautiful.

  • U R HOT

  • i'm sorry you've had to deal with such close-minded bull. you're absolutely beautiful and i love your body and i'm glad you do too ^_^ keep doing what you do

  • Booriiing

  • Thank You for the video. . . and I'm a skinny man learning BD. :)

  • I'm a full figured belly dancer and I thank you for posting your thoughts and opinions. I just want to say that when I dance I focus on expression through my body how the music makes me feel - and I believe that is how it should be and it's feels right to me, no matter what I look like. I love curvy belly dancers (and the skinny ones too)!

  • fat girls are hot

  • I'm with you all the way :)

  • Dance is a high sense , art , reation and concert bettween soul and body ,

you're right who cares .. btw many love big girls , i find them more fiminine and beauty

i hate who hates fat girls or offends them

    and you're not fat , you're beautiful

5 stars to support all big girls

  • @rovivern

Belly Dancers are not only women you know. I am a male belly dancer and I'm proud of it. Dont believe that sisterhood crap. Belly Dancing is for all genders. And gurl you not fat. I mean if Fat Chance Belly Dance can look good doing it so can you. I know everyone wants me to be skinny or buff, but I am not and I'm happy as I am. You go gurl you dance on. The divine lives in us dancers!

    elalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalale!

  • I don't get it - you're not fat.

  • YOU GO GIRL i LIKE YOU :) WOOO X

  • Hiya, lovie! Love your statement. I agree. If you take a peek at my profile page, you can see my attitude toward belly dancing. hehe. Not only is belly dancing for women of all shapes and sizes, there is no age limit. It's about expressing ourselves in celebration of all things feminine. YAY FOR GIRLS! You keep dancing, it's beautiful.

  • You aren't fat...relax. :)

  • It's hard to keep weight on when your a professional belly dancer. All my teachers were very slender and so am I now that I have been doing it for so long. What I'm trying to say is belly dancers come in all shapes and sizes and each is beautiful in their own way.

  • Go you!

  • LOVE it!!! I'd actually like to see some more pounds on you! Or 50! :D A FAT belly is a great belly! ;)

  • You...are...BEAUTFIUL! And I'd be very happy if I had a woman that looked like you!

  • you are beautiful and noone should call you anything but that

  • Love and support from a fellow fat belly dancer!

  • propsssss woman!

  • Rachel Brice was inspired by a very heavy bellydancer (over 300lbs) That says a lot.

  • Hi there! I love you!! Yes Bellydancing is for EVERYONE- it doesn't discriminate based on body type. I think in western society, they deal with a dilemma between accepting a "sexy oriental dance" and their own ideals of beauty (skinny, stick thin). And to be quite honest, bellydance looks better on women with curves, and that's how men like their women in places like the Middle East, and Southern India

  • (I'm South Indian- go check out the "hot actresses" from South Indian movies, they are really curvy, and Americans would even consider some of them to be grossly overweight/obese). But anyways, you probably won't hear so much hate from the places where the dance originated. Much love from a fellow bellydancer.

  • I've seen some of your videos and I think you look damn good for a woman whose had 5 kids. I totally share your opinion about so called 'fat bellydancer'. I've been called a fat bellydancer too... and way worst, but life goes on. I'm just happy someone speaks up her mind. Thank you and great videos.

  • I've started class again & the dance just makes sense when it's being danced, or dancing itself thru you.. I've never seen size to make a difference, this dance is ANCIENT...an ANCIENT way for people (seen male dancers too, rarely) to FEEL GOOD and move energy in delight! But as it comes to us it's a female art that makes so much more sense when we revel in it. BRAVO to all the dancers & all who love them!

  • Props to you!!! i DO POLE DANCE AND \I AM KINDA CHUNKY AND i LOVE YOUR VIEWS! i AM ALSO A VERY SUCCESFUL DANCE TEACHER AND DANCER AND i WISH THE POPULATION COULD SEE THIS!!

  • Props to you!!! i DO POLE DANCE AND \I AM KINDA CHUNKY AND i LOVE YOUR VIEWS!

  • FUCK YES. :D

    DUDE. OMG. YES.

im a fatass, and i gotta say.. im one hell of a dancer. :D i dont brag about anything, except that. there's not many of us out there that have real skill. you kick ass!

  • Well put. I am a "skinny" belly dancer, and I love all my dance sisters no matter what their size. I fully agree that this dance form is about expression, and love of dance, and you can do that at any size, or age for that matter.

  • i'd say you should rather be fat than having annorexia or anything like this. be proud of your body. i liked what you said about belly dance, seems like you found your passion :]

  • my name is heather i am a bellydancer in stratford ontario canada i love your comments im a curvy girl lots of people make negative remarks on my dancing i say screw them they dont have the goal i made for myself to become a healthier me

  • You sdid it girl, be yourself!

  • i can't see any fatness in you...i want to belly dance for losing weight and especially it looks fun but i am afraid to go for any classes cause for one i don't like wearing skimpy clothes infront of people and mainly i don't want my flabs to be seen...but thanks for the encouraging words..i feel maybe i can still learn it

  • if you got it, shake it, right?

  • Nicely said. And you are one HELL of a dancer!!

  • You have the perfect body for belly dancing! A girl without hips can't do that!

  • @KandyKadaver Thats false. Many men can do it. Look at dancers like Turik Sultan he is highly paid. Check your facts before posting!

  • @KandyKadaver everyone got hips...even skinny girls.

  • @KandyKadaver Every girl has the body for bellydancing.

  • wow I( got fed up with young girls insulting me on one of my videos that I removed it. I should have left it up!!!

  • in before heart failure

  • as a fellow dancing goddess, I'm borrowing Whoopi Goldberg to express the following sentiment in a way only she can: "LOVE YOUR SHAPE, GIRL!" and that goes for all my full-figured sistahs out there, that's right, TO HELL WITH WEIGHT WATCHERS! LOL! Keep on dancin' like nobody's bizness!

  • You can't belly dance if you have no belly!

  • you're right. i been feeling bad about my shape. i have 3 kids and i wanted to have a flat belly, but after listening to u. i feel more better. i always thougth that bally dance was only for skinny girls..but now im going to do it too.........

  • Belly dancing looks GREAT when you have some meat on you, it all flows better

  • damn your ensiring!! seriously!! i'm fat myself nd i'm trying to loose weight sadly im geneticly fat witch sukcs even more! but i love how your are proud of who you are i found my self nd bellydance is one of the things i wanna do i love your confidence i want to cry cause im so happy :')

  • your right they shouldint hate i think ur pretty im not a man im 15teen on this and in 164 and trying to loss wight

  • Just went to your site and watched the vids ... my 2c worth ...

You're beautiful, you have a GREAT set of sexy curves and you do a wonderful belly dance.

Basically, screw the "haters" and shake it up baby!

    Matt

  • Thank you so very much... it was my intention...

  • sorry.. LOL

  • LOL... if you look at the rest of my vids you can see me dance.

  • Not sure if you are hating or supporting.. Hmmm... I am not an untrained "tribal belly dancer" and have spent over 10 yrs learning and teaching my "Craft" so to speak. I didn't learn from a local jr college but from many very well trained and very demanding teachers.

I was posting this to encourage ppl to dance if they feel the need to and not to let size deter them from pursuing it.

  • Love yourself and forget the rest. I'm a Fat Cabaret Belly Dancer. Each time I dance regardless of a crowd or if I'm alone, I feel beautiful and powerful. As long as your getting something positive from the experience why would you care what other people think?

  • Um... Thank you for the response... I am not complaining that I AM FAT... I posted this so that people who want to belly dance but use the excuse that they have to lose weight before they try it really don't have an excuse!!!! I could give a F*^%^%% less what ppl say about me. I love me for who I am. But thanks again for your response. :-)

  • You arent fat. why would you think that?

  • TY.. but according to hollywierd I am. :-)

  • why do you have a think in the middle of your eyebrows. bellydancing is originally egyptian and egyptians dont put that thing in the middle of their forehead indians do!

  • If you look closer... you will notice that I am NOT dressed like an Egyptian dancer either... LOL

I do Indian Fusion and Belly Dance. sheesh

  • Loved it. dont care what any one says i love thicker girls. my head dont turn for Bean poles at all.. HOT Video

  • thank you!

  • I have to disagree with the "Belly Dancing doesnt mean anything about beauty' part beacuse well it is beautiful. Women take this up to show their bodies in a beautiful way. I completely agree with you though on everything else. I am A belly dancer, have been for 12 years and If I put on anymore weight I would be classed as overweight, but at least I have to hips ey?

You should belly dance for us :)

  • ty... if you look at my profile it is filled with belly dance vids of me.

  • As a person with a foreign background I'm gonna tell you traditionally belly dancers always had some buttermilk on them. The super skinny dancers are something that are fairly new, so technically your more authentic looking than the others, it's all cool!

  • Thank you! That is what I tell all my students

  • WOW! That is soo true. I just picked up belly dancing. mean im REALLY new...aka like a week lol. but great point. I was a litle scared of it at first...aka i am on the heavy side. but that really helps. Im gonna learn as much as i can and damn anyone that dares to down it. Thank you for insiration! ^.^

  • You are very welcome.. and congrats!!!! ENJOY your exploration of the dance!

  • Im taking bellydance classes, and i absolutely love it. Just like my teacher says every woman can Belly Dance. And honestly, i dont think your fat at all. I think your just normal healthy size, and especially normal size for a Belly Dancer. I know Belly Dancing is not about looks or size, but i dont think skinny women look nice dancing. You have to have a BELLY to Belly Dance right? Or at least some type of meat on your bones. You have to jiggle, have curves, it looks much better. :o)

  • thanks and have fun!!!!! :-)

  • Very nice. I linked this video to a Facebook event of mine. I invited some friends to take a belly dance class with me and I know some of them are concerned that they "don't have the belly for that" so I hope they watch your video and take something from it. Thanks so much. :)

  • Thank you.. I hope it helped a little. :-)

  • you are lovely and a great inspiration! you should not let the light hit your face as much because its so harsh and you are gorgeous with a very unique look!

thanks for this video, and the lotus hands instructional. keep dancin=)

  • thank you... :-)

  • did you know that in the origins of belly dance it was insulting to the dance to be skinny and other dancers would insult the skinny dancers.

if you dont have anything to shake...what are you shimming? hmm...

dance is an art form and art has no limits

  • thanks.. and I know this.. but it seems to be a

"Hollywood" image that is infecting the wonders of this dance. It is sad for those who search for it and are deterred because they are chubby... I posted this in hope that it would make them try for it instead of turning away from it. :-)

  • I think the skinner girls do get way more attention when they belly dance over us curvier girls. I personally am curvier and think I look good when I shake it. Some thin girls I think can look to sexual when they dance or just all bones and I don't find it attractive or beautiful at all. Not to say you have to be big to belly dance and there are plenty of thin and beautiful belly dancers out there, just saying.

  • TY.. :-)

  • @nikafeyrouz You are welcome! I just watched your video again and find so much truth in it.

As I said before I've always been larger and belly dance has made me come into my own and understand I don't have to be a size 2 to be accepted by others. I am happy and content with ME, I think I AM beautiful. Yeah I'm big, but damnit I am beautiful and so are you. Screw all the haters! They obviously dont understand bellydance and its orgins.

  • Aw, your a goddess! love you!

  • Thank you very much... !!!!

  • umm

I wanted to see belly dancing???

  • watch my other vids... LOL

  • oke your fat but that does not mean ur ugly becouse your freaking gorgeus!

  • thank you... I don't think I am ugly... and thanks again

  • Bellydance is a womens dance and lovely dancer of all sizes,

  • YES IT IS

  • oh my, whats a belly dance without a bit of a.. Belly ;)

  • Very True

  • In my opinion youre not fat. I believe youre a very beautiful girl. 5 stars and i would love to see you belly dance one day.

  • thank you!!! :-)

  • I've always been scared about showing any of my bellydancing videos online, because I was afraid friends would see it. Then, I realized, if they are my friends, it shouldn't matter! Keep dancing and ignore those who are ignorant to the beauty that is your body:)

  • I hope you have posted those vids. :-) Keep dancing!!!!!

  • Girl, I watched your videos, and you're REALLY not that fat! You're brave to get out there and say "who cares". You've got nothing to worry about anyways. You've got moves {oh, how I wish my isolations were that in tact...}, and that's all that matters! Oh! and of course, having fun.

Awesome sword dance, by the way. You rock!

  • THANK YOU!!!!! :-) Lots of practice...

  • Can people dance or not?

Do they love to dance or not?

I count techique and/or just sheer joy and charisma way before BMI...some people don't want to or are not able to go past body image when they look at others or themselves, and I find it to be a great shame.

I have no preferences irt. dancers' shapes and sizes, but respect and appreciation for those who are able to find and use whatever they've got in a way that enhances their dance, appearance and personality in the best way possible.

  • HAZAH!!!

  • You know it! :)

  • ohh no your not fat at all but even if you were just like every other dancer you are beautiful belly dance is for men women anyone who lives can belly dance why not its super awesome =DD

  • haters? not at all! you're absolutely gorgeus!

  • Go girl! Personally I have to say my preferences tend to be the opposite of the haters that seem to only go by what is popular on TV and in magazines. Of course...I differentiate between the large/small fit/unfit because I am large AND fit, and I like myself that way, a lot of my friends are thin, but can't do half the things I do because they don't have the muscles for it.

  • YES... we are who we are.. :-)

  • ur cool and ur not a bitch and u got kids

  • @nikafeyrouz You have every right to speak out on this issue. Belly Dance is meant for women of all shapes and sizes. I appreciate the fact that you took the time to make this video. I hope to hear and see more from you.

  • im going to be 18 in 4 months and i'm a size 18 funny i know but i don't care what people say you go have fun belly dancing i like belly dancing i mean like to do belly dancing they have cute outfits plus are clothes are so cute i could careless what people think of me most people always have to open their mouths and i hate when they do that why cant they just keep their mouths shut thats all you get to do peace

  • you are gorgeous!

  • belly dance is about being empowered through your own spirit. you are beautiful, and i admire your strength <3

  • I don't see anything wrong with her to be honest. She sounds like a very decent and nice person. So what if she's fat, she does what she loves and doesn't let anyone's person opinions get in the way.

  • you are a blessing! Much gratitude for the attitude! we are beautiful in all we do in every goddess shape and form

  • i'm a size 16 eighteen year old, and i'm just starting to learn. it can't be disputed that the slimmer belly dancers look better doing it, but it is true that it's for everyone, and already it's given me great confidance!

  • Not neccicarily, Ive seen "fat" belly dancers dancing with "skinny" belly dancers and sometimes I've found that the "fat" one is better then the "skinny" one. How good the dance looks regardless of size is the main thing i don't care if u have the best body on this earth but if u don't have the skill then it doesnt matter take FCBD for example they have fat belly dancers in there group and they are the BEST tribal belly dance troupe ever!

  • Personally, I think you're a beautiful woman. You're doing what you love to do, and there's no reason to be self conscious. ;D Good for you, that you don't let negativity ruin belly dance for you! You're a good example for people that are shy about their bodies, but still love to dance! :D And a good teacher! Thank you!

  • you go girl. You just inspired me to go and learn the art of belly dancing. I am fat myself, I'm a size 24. I've had 3 children one of my pregnancies was a multiple, and my last pregnancy I was just as big as I was with my twin pregnancy, so I got pretty stretched out in the tummy area. But I'm gonna go for it anyway. ^_^
