So around $1768 ...though having said that, that is the current exchange rate, this show is from 2000...and I am sure the rate was a lot different then!

I know this is an ancient comment, but just for the record, that was the approximate exchange rate in 2000 as well, although it dipped all the way down to 1 GBP to 1.8 USD a couple of times. I was living in the UK that year, and I remember those dips all too well!

What and the Rest don't suffer having a hook go in them? I'm sure they ain't an endangered species! and Fish eat other Fish anyway so it's not like humans are being any worse.

If you don't fish at all they won't get a hook in them. When fish eat other fish, the death is much faster and less painful. And fish are endangered, if there weren't quota. Still, there are far less fish nowadays then there were, say, 50 years ago.

Not eating fish isn't gonna stop people fishing is it now, and how do you know how many fish are down there? Have you counted them?, and How do you know if a Fish suffered or not when it's being eaten ALIVE! The only Fish that get caught are the dumb ones that's why it's called "Fishing" and Not 'Catching!' Sorry you can't save the planet love just get on with it and hope for the best!

You may want to search for "overfishing". Besides, it's common sense, if you take millions of fish out of the water, would that not influence their numbers?

Rather than -hope- for the best, I want to -live- for the best. I can go on and waste resources and hope it will somehow magically re-appear, or I can try to keep usage of resources to a minimum, and so actually keep more for longer. That may not directly save the planet, but it will give future generations more options.

But if you don't eat fish then it won't affect you anyway! Some people in world don't have the choice of what food they will decide to eat or not! So don't start spouting all these morals when you cane easier afford them! How are you ever gonna stop people overfishing in miles and miles of ocean unless they have boats constantly in the water and then I suppose you would complain about the pollution killing all the fish! If there's no doable solution then don't let it worry you so much!

People who have nothing else to eat are not the main cause of overfishing.

It's not so much when all fish are gone I go "omg! what do we eat now!", it's the fact that every creature has a role in the ecosystem called Earth. Take away one species, it will cause problems for others and so on.

Anyway, you gave me your opinion, I gave you mine. Luckily we live in a world where we can both have different points of view and still remain friends. I will let you enjoy your fish if you want to eat it.
