  • I appreciate the attempt to make the incomprehensible comprehensible, but I've always felt that these size comparisons don't do anything but emphasize the fact that you're talking about really, really small (or big) things. It's like when journalists say things like "million million trillion" instead of the clearer (if less sensational) scientific notation.

  • it's a good thing I can comprehend the magnitude of 1000 universes, because I might be a bit lost if it were on the order of like 1200 universes, b/c I mean, come on...a thousand is easy that's like 100 tens, but how the hell would you comprehend 1200, what like a 100 twelves, well it's clear that that's just crazy.

    Please note the jump from the distance of 778,570,000 kilometers to 1000 times the length of the universe!!!

  • Please wait until "strings" have a single real proof before you assert their existence.  Please reference Sir Roger Penrose

  • I dont think they asserted anything of the sort. they said the LHC 'MAY' point us in the direction of them and then descriced how small they would be. There were a lot of mays in that part of the video and true they said these superstring 'are' so small but I think it's a stretch of some magnitude to call that an assertion of their existence.
