Although "Deseret" is derived from and used a lot in the LDS community, the newspaper is a reputable one and not controlled by religious fanatics. I get said newspaper and most newspapers are written objectively and some come from writers who criticize some of the LDS agenda. I think both the religion and the state are misunderstood. Over half (52%) of adults in Utah are not Mormon (myself being one of them). There is a lot of diversity throughout the state (especially in Salt Lake City itself.
Actually well at least last year Labs were responsible for the majority of bites in the United States. I've been biten by a Chihauhau and a Maltese who took off the tip of my pointer finger when I was 14. My pits are loving and sweet.

ok, not literally. LDS does.
But "Deseret" was derived from the Book of Mormon which stands for "honeybee"
