NOT TO LIE but i think strikeforce fighters are the fighters that are not good enough to fight in the UFC because if u look most of the fighters in strike force they were in the UFC and sucked
yeah i forgot that.dont forget that hendo had a back injury. but man what would you expect from shields ? this guy has ZERO stand up and got his head almost clocked by GSP.
Its like Ryan Schultz saying he would just box Mayweather if he were to fight him. Then he loses straight fights after that.
Ryan Shultz is a nobody compared to Mayweather money wise, not to say he can't whip him but in the business sense- he is absolutely nothing, a molecule.
I have been trippin on UFC since number two, I missed #1. No UFC fight has come close to Leonard - Hearns, Ali-Frazier, Foreman-Frazier, Mike Tyson, Chavez- De La Hoya, Trinidad vs De La Hoya, Lennozx Lewis - Klitchko, Any Ali fight, Duran - Leonard, Roy Jones Vs Tarver.
MMA - For me it was Frank Shamrock - Tito Ortiz, Couture- Liddell, Cyborg-Carano, Fedor-Arlovski, St. Pierre - Hughes, Penn-St.Pierre and all Anderson Silva fights.
But how much these guys make?? Peanuts compared. Why?
@LinZeeLinuz thats why boxing is a piece of shit and no one cares about it, theres 40 fucking belts and its a huge fuckin mess. It has to be simple rankings, and fighters should have there fights chosen by an organization and just fuckin do it. All the politics and dodging and contracts of boxing is helping to make it more of a piece of shit. UFC dominates boxing.
@iurhviusdfavhi but no ufc fighter makes 20 million per fight or probably ever will. the hype factor makes fights. the media hypes the fight and the whole world responds.
teh one thing about ufc is that Dana White is definitely the man. My bet is he will be the one to also make it something more permanent for the future.
MMA does dominate boxing but boxing definitely was a thrill back in the day and if you think that MMA generates the same thrill ur wrong. But it will - maybe someday.
The Julio Chaves vs Meldrick Taylor, a documentary on was a story of an Olympian that was destroyed by Chavez. Not just beat but destroyed. Here's a quote "Taylor's "prime" was literally beaten out of him and it was thus gone forever".
It was fight of the year then the Fight of the Decade '90's
Meldrick Taylor (born October 19, 1966 in Philly) is a former Olympic gold medalist and world boxing champion in two weight classes.
i been saying alot so one thing that is important to remember this is some extremely dangerous stuff.
i'd like to see the fighters to make the big bucks. they deserve it but at the same time if the big bucks are in play then the fighter have to be top notch, extremely top notch.
owners must share. but if there is no profit how r u gonna pay. its a circle.
here's another example of fame - cain is only famous because he beat brock and then you would ask was brock really ready to face cain because he beat mir and couture?
couture way smaller but a older genius, mir the top of an old guard of fighters and then u have brock a superman who couldn't hold his boxing with cain? see how brock was trying to box him - it was lame.
I never seen Henderson Rocked before until when feijao tagged him, and I never how quick he could recover, but that son of a bitch stood up like the terminator and took feijao to the ground with little resistance, no offense Feijao, but this just happens in the 205 weight division, StrikeForce and UFC, but this weight is so damn entertaining.
No offense, but Mauro Ranallo is the most annoying broadcaster of all time. He should hang up the microphone for good, and choose another career, perhaps as a writer? His voice is awful, and I don't mean any disrespect to him.
@supermuble There are certain voices that belong on television. Mauro Ranallo does not have a TV voice. He is a very smart guy and I like him, but his voice is atrocious. Randy Courture also does not have a TV voice, and he should not be narrating fights either. In my opinion, Mauro Ranallo makes Strikeforce difficult to watch. All Ranallo needs is a co-host who has a real TV voice, to add a little more "shine" to Strikeforce's broadcasts.
That just reminds me of how good Hendo is. I've been watching him fight for at least 12 years and in that time, well actually for his entire career he has never been knocked out. I mean think about that, all those title fights he has had over the years, all those tough guys he fought, never even TKO'd. He has only been submitted a few times and only by larger or much larger guys (except for A. Silva who is larger in his walking around weight but is a middleweight). 40 yrs. old and still at it.
@Gurpreet25 better for what? for giving boooring figths? for getting audiences in to sleep? for securing figths instead of finish them? but i guess that's the UFC's standard so yeah! they got the better figther.
@foreverland100 Yea its so boring that they still retain viewers, far more than strikeforce. Its kind of hard to finish fights against top competition Im pretty sure SF has plenty of people with skills LMAO. Mexican idiots don't know shit about MMA just stick to liking nick diaz and think hes a top 5 fighter in the WW division lmao. Rather watch skilled fighter go at it then a SF event where I can go 4-0 predicting the main card yawn. Mad dirty mexican?.
@Gurpreet25 Well, Mexican idiots, as you call them, are the target audience now for the UFC (remember Cain?) because all the crackers were off after Brock's loss. "Still retain viewers" like you, who paid $50 for that boooooring shows, keep making Dana smile you dum Zuffa-Zombie. "Hard to finish figths againts top competition" you nuthuging idiot.
another examply - holly holm debut? i never heard of her then hear keith jardine say she is like the female manny pacquiao entering mma.
and i hardly heard of it?
and the biggest question is why where is Christiane Cyborg - the Gina Carrano Cyborg fight was so huge but then nothing..where is the follow up or title defense??
Cyborg should have a mandatory title defense from some one??
@Gurpreet25 saw tha, but what did I hear of it? nothing or maybe i just wasn't looking close enough. it's the dilution of the fighters status. that's what o meant when i said there is no time for the fighters to really become famous. fame is waht really makes the hype surrounding a fight.
believe me when it was sugar ray leonard vs marvelous marvin hagler, marvin hagler vs thomas hit man hearsn or leonard vs duran, or chaves vs oscar - it was big. why/ the fighters were super famous.
BTW do you know who won the last WNBA championship game? Oh you don't know, what a shame. Woman MMA isnt established atm and its not going to happen all of a sudden but in a long progressed period of time. Whats the point, all the apple ipod products are purchased because they're famous but is something wrong with that?. ATM the womens division is very shallow with most of the fights looking far worse than an amateur male fight, I don't blame them.
@Gurpreet25 just found out Seattle Storm. hype makes sports thats a for sure. u seen the sherdog rss. its more interesting than the bbc feed. changing all the time.
so many fights being made - its too diluted.
prime example big baby (marcus jones) was so interesting then he gets stomped by mitirone who for entertainment value is a dud. big baby wasn't ready but he is already gone.
kimbo gets slaughtered by big country - he wan't ready for big country. but he is old. fighter management!
@Gurpreet25 cyborg should be super famous - she is for now in my opinion the baddest female on the planet in her weight class - she needs to be handled that way. like royalty.
Nick Diaz lost in UFC but is a Strikeforce Champ. He is a prime example, it makes you wonder is Strikeforce not as good. But it also makes you think did he just need a better management of his fights? Nick Diaz is one of the best examples of what a fighter should be - always down for a real fight no matter who the opponent is.
@darkNovaskar mma = mixed martial arts. can't have that weakness.
chuck liddell was great cuz he could stop take downs then knock out his opponents.
this randy couture being the greatest this or that. chuckie knocked him out twice. he was stupid enough to trade with chuck liddell but probably knew he couldn't take him down either.
@LinZeeLinuz the 205 weight division is a whole different story, those guys come to finish fights, and most of them prefer to stand up even if they can't like rashad.
henderson is a fuckin legend. thats like his 5th title. other than the olympics and shit. but i'm pretty sure that slam on the mat to feijao's face did most of the damage.
Great fights this event! man, i love the ufc, but i'm sick of how many of their fights go to decision. for the main cards of the last 5 events of the ufc and strikeforce the ufc has 54% decisions and only 18% for strikeforce!! 3 times as many!?! does strikeforce intentionally match uneven fights to cause this or is it something else? not referring to this event's title fights, as these were good match-ups. something's gotta be going on since it's a pretty consistent difference for a while
Manhoef lost but I was really stoked on him stuffing a couple of takedowns, to bad hes getting up there in age and this is probably as far as he can make it.
no disrespect to the fighters. all fight organization must be able to interchangeably fight otherwise we will never really know who is the best.
ufc shouldn't be known as the "elite" of all organizations cuz that says all ufc fighters are tops. which is probably not true but if have Anderson Silva beating Henderson with
ease??
an international ranking system must mandate fights as it is in boxing under one organization then we will really know who is the best.
@LinZeeLinuz yes!, imagine barnett vs lesnar and how awesome that would be, cigano vs overeem, fedor vs cain, mir vs bigfoot silva, roy nelson vs shane del rosario, rogers vs kongo, kharitanov vs schaub etc, strikeforce dominate in heavyweight but ufc have a better full roster
@bunce101 your list brings forth anther point, with the UFC putting on so many fights all the time which is great and with a supposed tier of Fight Organizations I think the fighters ability to become popular is very difficult which would mean more money which might mean higher caliber athletes and a better feeder system like boxing. Pro after amateurs.
But its probably like the Wild Wild West, there's a gold rush going on and everyone is cashing in the fastest way possible.
@LinZeeLinuz my man, i think everyone agrees with you, but i hope, and it sounds like your somewhat of a hardore, that you understand that the ufc is the only internationally successful promotion that have fights that mean something, strikeforce and scott coker put on fights , they dont have a real latter to climb, it sucks but the only way what you said would ever happen, would be if a.) coker started making fights that mean something, and b) the ufc hits there peak and starts going downhill..
@octoberemp fyi - strange ur comment didn't show up in my in box only the latest one did as with my the previous comments to me.
any way ..... its just hard to keep up with everything but since I got my rss feed from Sherdog going i can see all the stuff always coming up. There are so many names, its like who the heck are these guys.
It makes headlines at Sherdog but it doesn't strike me as much.
Fights need that hype factor and with some many going off all the time - where is the hype?
@LinZeeLinuz it wasn't REALLY too easy for Silva in that fight; he got taken down I think twice and Hendo won the first round. But it looked easy for Anderson lol
@LinZeeLinuz if ufc shouldnt be known as the most elite, than neither should the NFL, ur sayin that the NFL shouldnt say its players are better than AFL or EFL. exactly, there will always be a org that has more quality in workers therefore willl get called the elite cause they have majority of the talent
@LinZeeLinuz lol Silva's fight with "Dangerous" "Hendo" was the first time he lost the round but 2nd round came back with striking and finished it on the ground
but your right fuck organization they must all come together with an international ranking system
@Cena121234 i found that having a rss feed from slashdot is the best way to know what is going on. their feed is always changing . there is so much mma news all the time. i am better able to start knowing what is going on. in fact its how i ended up checking this video.
@LinZeeLinuz well its better now that one organization now has control of the vast majority of the best fighter with ufc owning strikeforce. so now we can see fights like diaz vs gsp.
@sharkshockey19 diaz has to beat diego sanchez first since he has already lost to him. and hendo beating fedor? where does that get us? rematch silva vs hendo? probably get us tito vs hendo. is strikeforce sub par to ufc or are guys like diaz and hendo showing us what fighting is really about - perseverance? i think we need a rematch with hendo and fedor and diaz has to reprove him self in the ufc. maybe strikeforce can be thought of the triple AAA of MMA??
@ericunder29 yeah as you can see hendos punch only grazed feijao's face. thats all it took. thats amazing power. and feijao is a big guy for a lightweight. They said he walks around at 220-225. impressive win for henderson!
Bet my girlLiz Carmouche is in everyones minds now.... with two weeks notice and she nearly destroyed Coenen... Great Job Liz, We Love You... Sacred Savage Fight Gear.. The Fight Life... All Day... Every Day... Great job to all participants..
@MrTyronePimp Dan doesn't get into "why" he left in details but he said that it was because his contract expired and he wanted more from UFC (sponsor his clothing grear 'Clinch Gear', more $) but Dana turned him down, so he left. There are rumors that aside from the contract issues, there was some mistreatment from Dana White towards Hendo, but that's only rumors, no confirmation.
@muchohumpty Yeah, cause people faceplant all the time without being hurt.
People don't understand that a glancing shot can *easily* knock someone out. The knockout is caused by the their skull being violently jerked around by the blow, even if it's glancing. The brain’s inertia causes it to smash against the inside of the skull, near the base of the skull.
Feijao's hands were low as he fell and he didn't catch his own fall (already dazed). He didn't protect himself until he hit the mat.
@muchohumpty HAHAHAH no! If that punch didn't hurt him he wouldn't have fell face first and could get an arm in there to lessen the impact. Trust me he was rocked by that punch, that mat hit didn't help at all though.

@LinZeeLinuz yes!, imagine barnett vs lesnar and how awesome that would be, cigano vs overeem, fedor vs cain, mir vs bigfoot silva, roy nelson vs shane del rosario, rogers vs kongo, kharitanov vs schaub etc, strikeforce dominate in heavyweight but ufc have a better full roster
bunce101 1 year ago
@bunce101 your list brings forth anther point, with the UFC putting on so many fights all the time which is great and with a supposed tier of Fight Organizations I think the fighters ability to become popular is very difficult which would mean more money which might mean higher caliber athletes and a better feeder system like boxing. Pro after amateurs.
But its probably like the Wild Wild West, there's a gold rush going on and everyone is cashing in the fastest way possible.

@LinZeeLinuz UFC is just a calling card, saying "if you think your the best, hears the place to prove it."
darkNovaskar 1 year ago
@LinZeeLinuz my man, i think everyone agrees with you, but i hope, and it sounds like your somewhat of a hardore, that you understand that the ufc is the only internationally successful promotion that have fights that mean something, strikeforce and scott coker put on fights , they dont have a real latter to climb, it sucks but the only way what you said would ever happen, would be if a.) coker started making fights that mean something, and b) the ufc hits there peak and starts going downhill..
octoberemp 1 year ago
@octoberemp fyi - strange ur comment didn't show up in my in box only the latest one did as with my the previous comments to me.
any way ..... its just hard to keep up with everything but since I got my rss feed from Sherdog going i can see all the stuff always coming up. There are so many names, its like who the heck are these guys.
It makes headlines at Sherdog but it doesn't strike me as much.
Fights need that hype factor and with some many going off all the time - where is the hype?
LinZeeLinuz 1 year ago
@LinZeeLinuz That will never happen as long as Dana still alive

@LinZeeLinuz it wasn't REALLY too easy for Silva in that fight; he got taken down I think twice and Hendo won the first round. But it looked easy for Anderson lol
joesahoe09 11 months ago
@LinZeeLinuz well strikeforce has been bought bye ufc sooooo....
jjohnson218 11 months ago
@LinZeeLinuz if ufc shouldnt be known as the most elite, than neither should the NFL, ur sayin that the NFL shouldnt say its players are better than AFL or EFL. exactly, there will always be a org that has more quality in workers therefore willl get called the elite cause they have majority of the talent
babyface0514 11 months ago
@babyface0514 good point for sure. dana white is proving that he is going to make right. i just hope the fighters r going to make more money.
one point however is that when u see guys defeated in ufc then go to some other org and become champ all it does is make u wonder.
just too bad a guy like Henderson can't get a a high profile fight always he has to go to an (as u impled) an inferior organization.
but ufc owns sf now.
that could just mean an opportunity to start another fight org

@LinZeeLinuz strike force and ufc have all the top talent in the world and now that ufc bought out strikeforce, it will happen
rmartinez8176 11 months ago
@LinZeeLinuz lol Silva's fight with "Dangerous" "Hendo" was the first time he lost the round but 2nd round came back with striking and finished it on the ground
but your right fuck organization they must all come together with an international ranking system
Cena121234 10 months ago
@Cena121234 i found that having a rss feed from slashdot is the best way to know what is going on. their feed is always changing . there is so much mma news all the time. i am better able to start knowing what is going on. in fact its how i ended up checking this video.
LinZeeLinuz 10 months ago
@LinZeeLinuz well its better now that one organization now has control of the vast majority of the best fighter with ufc owning strikeforce. so now we can see fights like diaz vs gsp.
sharkshockey19 7 months ago
@sharkshockey19 diaz has to beat diego sanchez first since he has already lost to him. and hendo beating fedor? where does that get us? rematch silva vs hendo? probably get us tito vs hendo. is strikeforce sub par to ufc or are guys like diaz and hendo showing us what fighting is really about - perseverance? i think we need a rematch with hendo and fedor and diaz has to reprove him self in the ufc. maybe strikeforce can be thought of the triple AAA of MMA??

@Ducati549r power does not leave you if you train properly, just speed and durability, hendo needs neither off thesse lol
ericunder29 1 year ago
@ericunder29 yeah as you can see hendos punch only grazed feijao's face. thats all it took. thats amazing power. and feijao is a big guy for a lightweight. They said he walks around at 220-225. impressive win for henderson!

That Rogers kid on the early fights (the one who WON by KO) was impressive. He also kinda had a bit of fun. ran into the crowd after his win.

@MrTyronePimp He wanted to be the highest paid fighter in the ufc
solidpillow 1 year ago
@MrTyronePimp Dan doesn't get into "why" he left in details but he said that it was because his contract expired and he wanted more from UFC (sponsor his clothing grear 'Clinch Gear', more $) but Dana turned him down, so he left. There are rumors that aside from the contract issues, there was some mistreatment from Dana White towards Hendo, but that's only rumors, no confirmation.
pcjudosambo 1 year ago
Feijao wasnt rocked by Hendo, the mat rocked em.
You can see the Heno shot didnt land, but he pushed Feiajo down & his face bounced off the mat
muchohumpty 1 year ago
@muchohumpty Yeah, cause people faceplant all the time without being hurt.
People don't understand that a glancing shot can *easily* knock someone out. The knockout is caused by the their skull being violently jerked around by the blow, even if it's glancing. The brain’s inertia causes it to smash against the inside of the skull, near the base of the skull.
Feijao's hands were low as he fell and he didn't catch his own fall (already dazed). He didn't protect himself until he hit the mat.
doranw 1 year ago
@muchohumpty yeah he pushed his fist into feijaos face
zarian117 1 year ago
@muchohumpty HAHAHAH no! If that punch didn't hurt him he wouldn't have fell face first and could get an arm in there to lessen the impact. Trust me he was rocked by that punch, that mat hit didn't help at all though.
