@eb GM was unable to compete with the Japanese during the Reagan era. Japan had lower priced cars and built better then our poorly made Union cars made here at the highest compensation in the world!!!! Business must make changes when it cannot get its labor partners to understand what is happening in the marketplace. GREEDY UNIONS CLOSED THE PLANTS AND THEY STILL ARE!!! @goldsilverandiamonds Hey bagger brain, Japanese and German auto workers make a lot more than American union workers. The Japanese yen value has doubled on international markets since 1998? That makes products made in Japan twice as expensive. They used currency manipulation just as China is doing now to give an unfair advantage to their exporters. The problem is that the resulting uncontrollable domestic inflation eventually diminishes their advantage and their economy just as it will in China.

@P Hey cock lover, my response was to what was going on in the 1980's fuckhead.Japanese workers and German workers did not make more then the U.S.'s GREEDY UNION PIGS and I still doubt they do today, most compensation for these greedy pigs was about 75.00 hr. Only recently are greedy unions waking up to the fact not only did they fuck over the companies,the worker but the U.S. with their greedy demands! People who work on a line building cars should get about 10-14.00 hr its not brain surgery.
