hate to burst everyones bubble, put when the coin drops in, it goes through a coin mech, down some track then into the coin collector which makes in almost impossible to retrieve it unless the door is opened, and as for the bill validator, wont work, the validator pulls the bill in and stores it in the bill holder...the string would break before the bill would be pulled from the spring loaded bill holder

and most machines regardless if its soda or snack foods since the late 80's they have magnets in them so you can not use slugs aka washers or hell here in the usa canada money it will just spit it back out into the coin return and when the coins go in once it drops into the coin bucket inside there are flaps that close over the coin bucket that also prevents this.

i found a easier an faster way to open up machines/ locks/ doors or anything that has a lock on it by using superbumpkeys. i got some of these keys for 2 bucks online at superbumpkeys. com and they work like a charm.

I've used this method at car washes with great succes but takes practice the trick is to NOT let the quarter go ALL the way into the device. TIP… start Useing your quarter like a fishing jig and slowly increase the depth of your quarter untill you acheive "credit" or should I say false credit. The quarter has to drop at a specific velocity for the weight of a 25 cent piece, that's why slugs do not work. That's why you have to find where the credit wire is located, and come up an inch or so. You get past the slug drop, and come out right above the credit wire. his worked on machines 20 years ago, and has probably been fixed by now. If you ever run across a quarter that feels slick, it prolly has tape on it, and if that is the case, then someone is still using that trick today.

The reason it didn't work is you didn't research your machine first. Allow the Quarter to drop in freely. Slowly pull it back until you hit the credit wire.Hold the measurement point tightly, then gently pull the nylon thread free from the quarter (use thin tape, not glue), now you have the mech depth. take away about an inch from your measurement. Now you can redo your 25 piece and drop it in to the measure -1 inch. and lower to the wire, once there, bob the 25 on the wire for credits.
