yes. car manufactures put odd paint jobs on cars which are not yet in production and/or are new models which have changes to the old shapes. it's to help prevent others from gaining all the information about their car's new shape. in most cases, they do it on the entire car. but, they can also just put it on important modified sections.
it goes by different names, but some call it "spy camo" which helps hide some of the lines when taken by automotive paparazzi.

don't think it's going to have like 322 hp.....why do they bother then making the m1 when you have the 135i! ....350+ ,that's more like it!
