Its taken me a year and a half, binosusume, but I finally did it. I finally have long enough hair to do this particular style. I had to alter it just slightly, but its done. -phew- (fyi, everytime I thought about cutting my hair off, I'd watch this video.)

@OKashli You can do it with a bit longer than shoulder-length (that's how long my hair is)...the "chestnut" part just ends up looking a bit smaller but I think it's still very cute ^_^

I really love this hair do. The only problem I have is the damage you do to your hair that way. Is there any way to do this without the teasing?

@susiQ90 Teasing is just to give volume to the hair... you can tease then smoothen it out :D

@PinkSweetLollipop But the damage is done even though you smoothen it out. As soon as you brush against the hair growth the hair gets damaged. And as I want to grow my hair at least to hip lenght I try to avoid everything that leads to split ends as teasing, heat curling, flat irons or everything else with heat...

@susiQ90 Teasing isn't that bad for your hair. If you're worried, use a deep conditioner on days you tease, and don't tease with a comb; use a flat brush. The teasing will also be easier to brush out this way.

@susiQ90 you can use a 'bump it'. otherwise you still have to add volume to the top of the pony, either by curling some of the under layer of hair, crimping it or any other way of adding some general body/ frizz to support the large bun.
