It's sweet to see the people who say they wish he'd win. But did people not see the relief on his face when he didn't? Unless you're willing to find a way to stand out while being a record company tool, you'll never get too far. The best idol has to offer these days is exposure- that's about the extent. Even the most talented have not been as successful as they deserve. It's almost like a death sentence to be appointed winner.

Less sales doesn't make someone less talented. People just may not like their style of music. Opera singers have amazing unique voices but people prefer to listen to the same rubbish that's on the top hits all the time. And then the people on Idol etc. imitate these "pop" singers. So we get more of them. It's a vicious cycle. Then, as soon as a unique/interesting voice comes on, they're bood off. Why? Because they don't sound like the generic pop that America tends to produce en mass.

Obviosuly you haven't heard a lot of "amazing voices," I just can't believe the talent in this country has sunk so low.... yeah Guy was good, as was Anthony Callea, then it all goes downhill. I LIVE in the USA and thought, hey Australia must have good singers like us, old Keithy came from there. MAN was a disapointed. You must be tone deaf if you thought that performance was good. (I think going to UC Berkely for Music ensures I'm not tone dear :P)

Australian Idol is shit. Face it. The talent is not there. Ratings have stooped. Everyone on the show is so f-ing desperate. "OMG, music is my life, I can't live without it, this is my dream, if I get elimianted my dreams are over" yada yada yada. Vocal wise, some borderline okay and mediocre, most just suck. Peformance wise, they're all ameutuers. American Idol blows this out of the water. This guy wouldn't have made it past auditions.

You're not telling me you actually think this is good? Like I said before, previous Seasons I've watched have been good but this particular one, with this particular guy really blows. The ratings have apparently gone down and I'm not surprised. And more than 189 million people worldwide "give a fuck" about American Idol. And shouldn't runner ups get some sort of album too? Where's his? The guy who came 3rd even got 1.And the sales apprently sucked for this season's too...:P

You need to get your facts straight... simply, an album deal is for the winner only in Austalia... And of course he has had offers..but is taking his time, and at 17 has plenty of that!! When ready an album will be out...just because his album isn't out 5 minutes after Idol ends, doesn't mean it won't be happening at all....

I'm not saying the whole serie sucks, I just mean this dude and his season. I was really dissapointed at the show that year - I watched half of that season and some dude who was surprisngly worse than this one came 4th - I mean come on. It's a singing show - not America's Next Top Model. And some of the performances on this season even make Kristy Lee Cook look awesome.

Yeah, he killed EVERY song he did on the show. It was horrible, the only reason he got through was because girls voted for him, even though most people thought he was a pussy anyways. I stopped watching the show in disgust. There's just no talent.
