  • I add, Briggs in his prime, lost with Sedreck Williams who is none and lost more fights than that he won. And this Briggs is no more in his prime too and manage to win the same with Liakhovic. The same Briggs who has been demolished by a 40 years old Vitali. He lost every round as if he was a little boy, with a no more prime Vitali(who is good even now, Vitali is a champion). And Briggs beat Liakhovic. So Liakhovic is good? For what? Potatoes?

  • Yeah agreed. Briggs is a fun personality and a solid heavyweight who was in some fun fights. He's not one of the all time greats by any means but he was a big puncher who had a winning personality who helped liven up the division when many Americans started turning away from it.

  • good job by briggs...He spanked that stupid clown

  • Gosh wish i would seen this match live. Must been so amazing to sit in Briggs wagon.

  • stupid people--they dont understand how it is to be inside the ring. read about Firpo-DEMPSY FIGHT ,stupid.

  • Two of the most unrefined fighters ever = Really hilarious fight.

These dudes were so tired they could barely stand up.

  • @FSMNoodlyAppendage Briggs is a two time world champion and he'd kill you

  • i remember my brother phoning me long distance after watching this fight. He told me what happened and to watch the repeat. So i did. I just about died when i seen this. Too funny

  • Worst fight in boxing history they are both trash I have never seen a trash boxing like this.

Lyakhovic is considered between boxers and this is the saddest part he is none

  • @SquallLeon81 You an idiot? Briggs was a heavyweight contender in his prime, and to stand against his raw power in 12 rounds is an achievment.

Bet you got a lot of fighting experience, I have not. Only been boxing for 3 years and only got 3 fights, but I have enough experience to respect these fighters earning their wages - try it!

  • @bergenranger

Briggs in his prime was good not a top fighter but very good.

This Briggs is far from his prime and Lyakhovic cannot win against him!

Look at the punches they are all slow and not powerful and lyakhovic cannot take theme!

I cannot understand why he is considered good.

Lyakhovic here should be in his prime and lost with a weak Briggs I can say Briggs is no more in his prime, but Lyakhovic is trash and his loss with no more a prime Valuev he lost every round.

  • @SquallLeon81 Briggs has 30 first round KO's! He is far from weak. All of his punches are hard you fucking idiot.

  • @muclesmarinara

But are you capable of commenting without insulting someone else. I hate people who hide behind the net for insulting. Briggs is not very good he is average. He lost against Sedreck Williams that is very embarassing as a puncher and he fight nobody most of the time. People with a record of 30 defeats and 7 wins. That's not to be good. He lost against Felix Savon on Olympics game in round 1, He lost against Lennox and Ibragimov. When he has to face someone on top he always lose.

  • @SquallLeon81 he was a two time world champion! Not average my little peach cobbler.

  • @muclesmarinara

yeah, but You also have to see with who he became champion. First time against Foreman at 48 years of age and Foreman has been robbed.

Secondo time against Liakhovic who is thw worst boxer I have ever seen he lost with everyone!

  • @SquallLeon81 Yes Foreman got robbed but Briggs still won according to the asshole judges. Briggs was close to KO'ing Lennox though.

  • @muclesmarinara

Yes I'm not saying he is shit. For me he is average, probably a little more, but I cannot tell he is a top boxer. I remember the lesson Botha gave to him. The problem of Briggs is the stamina very low

  • @SquallLeon81 Briggs has asthma, that is where the stamina problem comes from He is not an all time great by any means but he has done some great things. He holds the first round KO record with 30. He took the punches of George Foreman and Vitali Klitschko and wasn't KO'd. He became a 2 time world champ after having a very rough start in life. His mom was a drug addict, his Dad was away and Shannon was homeless on the streets for quite some time as a teen. He's a good guy though.

  • @muclesmarinara

Oh Yes as a person he is wonderful nothing to say. As a boxer he is good, but no more. I separate the two things.

  • @SquallLeon81 That's fair. He is a good fighter, showed signs of greatness on rare occasions and is a nice guy.FIne.

  • @SquallLeon81 Liakhovich is the worst boxer you've ever seen? Check out his fight against Lamon Brewster, Liakhovich is a true warrior. Not a keyboard warrior like you though...

  • @DiebelsAlt

    Oh Yes saw that fight!

Brewster suffer a retin detachment in the second round and yet Brewster is not that good as everyone thinks only because beat Klitschko one time and was very luck. Klitschko embarassed him for 5 rounds than go out of gas. Brewster that is not great, will beat for sure Liakhovic on a rematch. Liakhovic for me is overrated and I think he isn't good at all.

  • @SquallLeon81 Yeah he's not good at all, that's why he went to Olympia and became world champion...

  • @DiebelsAlt Oh yes, so one become world champion is automatically good. I'm not saying he is shit, he can beat anyone who is average level, but with a prime Tyson, prime Vitali ko in the first round. Think what you want he has been embarassed by Valuev that is one of the worst heavyweight world champion ever. As soon as you give an opponent to Liakhovic who is more that average he goes down. Helenius kill him and has been embarassed by Chisora.

  • @SquallLeon81 "I'm not saying he is shit" Of course you DID. Some comments ago you said he's the worst boxer you've ever seen (you obviously don't know much about the sport)... He may be past his prime now, but in 2006 he won the title in one of the best heavyweight fights of the last years.

By the way: Liakhovich lost to Briggs in '06, Vitali beat Briggs in 2010... What I'm saying here is: Your comparing boxing mathematics just don't work..... Now just stop commenting, smartypants....

  • @DiebelsAlt

Yes I confirm he is the worst heavyweight champion ever. Not the worst boxer ever! As a World Champion he is the worst he cannot compete with other great champion. Look at how fat is Briggs in this fight he is very weak here and beat Liakhovic easyly. Ibragimov destroyed Briggs who beat Liakhovic and Wladimir beat Ibragimov easyly. Now judge to yourself if Liakhovic is good. Only luck to win a title!

  • 2:25

  • greatest fight in Briggs life!

  • Now Briggs got destroyed by our intelligent Doctor.

    He never had a chance

  • Liakhovich never should have been allowed to keep fighting by the way he responded, but everyone loves a classic KO out of the ring.

  • I was at this fight live... BORING AS FUCK!.. but that was one hell of an ending I have to admit. Everyone ringside lost their fucking minds.

  • What the fuck was that ref doing in there? He should NEVER referee a fight again, stupid cunt.

Good luck to Briggs against Vitali, he has the tools and the power and could cause an upset.

  • Briggs looks like a fucking minotaur. He'd be a cool movie villian In like sin city 2 or something.

  • shannon my role model...fantastic people and fantastic box man...yeah!

  • can you post all the fight??? thanks!

  • NICE.
