  • I'd forgotten how slight the tune was on this record. Still they compensate for that with the professionalism of the video.

  • Oh wow. I was looking through my CD collection, and began wondering what the Soup Dragons sounded like before Lovegod, as it was the earliest piece I had by them.

    Very different. Very excellent.

  • A classic !!!! Also the video of "Hang Ten", another classic used to be on youtube, but sadly record companies forced youtube to remove it for copyright reasons !!!!!

  • @dee74raz nooooooooooo

  • @sbutl014 Don't worry, the video of Hang Ten is now on YouTube. Somebody in the past week has uploaded it !!! :)))

  • They released a string of tremendous singles, none of which were released on CD in the UK. There is a CD available from the US called 'Hang-Ten!" which cobbles together said single along with 'Whole Wide World' and 'Head Gone Astray' together with the relevant b-sides. Catalogue number is 9 25666-2.

  • The ending alway reminds of the Pixies Debaser.

  • Thanks for posting - I love this song.

  • Me too

  • I wish this was available on a CD somewhere.

  • Got this on vinyl single in the loft somewhere, will have to dig out! All went horribly wrong with I'm free onwards.

  • merci

  • some of frank black's solo stuff sounds like this!

  • Brilliant.Brilliant.Brilliant. 16 again and at Manchesters 'international 1'.

  • Shit !! For the last 2 minutes and 44 seconds I felt 18 again....

    Big thanks for posting.

  • Will anyone ever post "The Majestic Head" by Soup Dragons? Why is this song so hard to find. I know I'll never find "I wish I was a Girl" by wasted youth but c'mon people!! Where's "majestic Head"?

  • Saw them in Bristol Bierkeller around this time and they were absolutely brilliant.

Then they bought into the Manc scene and it all went wrong. Great shame.

  • 'whole wide world', 'hang ten', 'head gone astray' and this were all great. then it started to go down hill, sadly.

  • i've got a demo version of this from the soupies second ever rehearsal.

  • Awesome. I remember this. Can't believe they jumped on the Manchester Baggy Scene. They still sounded cool, but this period remains my favourite from them :)

  • I remember seeing this on Snub ages ago. Great song, great band. Thanks for the memories.

  • I've got this on vinyl but wanted to send a copy of it to my friend who's a bit low - put it on and dance, you can do nothing else! Thanks for this!

  • Been looking for this for ages, got Majestic Head on video somewhere, live on tv.
