M16 and M4 are the same system just diffrent barrel lengths,that is all. If someone complaines,tell then to eat a dick as if it were a sausage. Both have the same upper and lower reciver(which includes single,auto,and 3r burst). Same ammo type,same sights,same everything except the barrel. And funny thing about the M16 in Black Ops is it is the original version but somehow has a picatinny rail for scopes and sights which didn't come till the A3version,It also has a 20 round mag but has 30 >.>

Only the m16a4 and a2 are 3burst, and they can't go full auto. The m4 is the same, the m4a1, m16a1 and m16a3 havce full auto and no burst. All of these go semi. The basic point of your comment is correct, just fixing the little details. I don't know anything about the picatinny rails, and the magazine thing is correct.

@Leadlobotamist dont forget that the m16 used in bo is the a1 which only fired semi and auto not 3burst untill the a3 also its weird how in the first mission in cuba that they were given the m16 because the m16 and the ar15 otherwise known as the commando were both prototypes but the ar15 was clearly better and the a1 had a problem with the barrel melting because of the material it was made from and the m16 was more accurate because of its longer barrel while the m4 was better in closer ranges

@Leadlobotamist At least someone is educated, but do remember that the M4 does replace the M16 as it is lightweight and provides a lot more modifications, which makes it totally different from its older brother. So calling an M4 an M16 is wrong, but it is the same classification of the weapon.

Like,if I had to go through a city or town with short sight lines,I'd take an M4,but if I was going through an open cleared area,like a battlefield with longer sight. I'd take an m16.(I'd take a diffrent system of course,I only somewhat like this system,but is was an example.)

@Leadlobotamist m4 doesn't have 3 round burst. neither did the A2 m16, which i'm assuming is the one in blackops since you don't have to pull a ramrod every 3 shots and use it like a musket. also the m4 has an LE stock instead of the full length stock, although you can interchange them.
