I don't see what all the hate's about. If what I gather is correct, this was a match up between the Soviet NATIONAL team and the Flyers. Obviously there would be a complete and utter blowout.

And to go on further, it's a sport. It's supposed to be a diversion from all the international hate, yet some people decide to twist it into something else entirely, using it to fuel their hate for others.

Flyers are a total joke, all muscles , no skill. The only beat (literally) Russians once - in 1976. They have not won a single game after that. The Russians were always motivated to defeat Flyers

It's also easier when you send your national team instead of a club team. This is the Soviets, not the CSKA Red Army team. BTW, the Red Army always added star players to load its roster for its tour of the NHL as well. 1-1-3 isn't bad considering one of the losses was by 1 goal. These were not typical club teams like CSKA appears to be. 1976 was a plain and simple outclassing of the Red Army team. You guys outclassed us in your wins and I'll admit that, so don't misconstrue the facts.
