freetork, Brown just makes figures up and produces them as fact. At PMQ's he told the House that his policies were helping thousands of businesses up and down the country with his loan scheme. The reality came on the BBC's Question Time - when a businessman actually tried to get one of these loans - and failed. He was to find out that only 16 companies benefited from this government scheme - and not thousands. My problem is: Labour lies all the time - and therefore they are unelectable.

In fact, I do, and the polls are all over the place. The polls you are referring to are Labour and the independent ones are around 15 points above Labour. Even in the 2005 election, more people voted Tories - but Labour won, because of boundary changes. Labour are all but dead. Talk about a rudderless wreck waiting to sink. aconstantfalling, I have already said that you can vote BNP if you wish, I do not understand why you are here making fun of the Tory party. It is Labour who are in power and Labour that allowed uncontrolled migration. If you had taken some interest in Tory policy regarding migration issues - you might have a clue, but you have'nt. The Tories have advocated a cap on incoming migrants and not a free-for-all, which is what you have currently with Labour.

Eric, you are right the election is not in the bag, my own personel survey of the British public tells me that mainstream politics is finished in the eyes of most voters, I think that it will be very hard to gain votes in the up coming election the people do not trust mainstream parties anymore they feel betrayed, most tell me that they have not voted for years, So how do you turn that around Eric you are only getting a small turn out of the electorate about 25% in the general election.

@screammac Firstly- Youth custody levels have gone up by over 20% under labour, Secondly- the money they said they would spend on rehabilitation has been spent on overcrowding prisons. Conservatives have outlined plans for a rahbilitative approach to youth justice. If you want modern progression in the terms you say then you need to vote Conservative chum. Also, learn to spell, have you read about Michael Gove's education reforms?
