  • His highs sound like Abboth, lows like David Vincent.

  • This is how Obscura should sound.

  • Best track of the group

  • SHOULD ALSO MENTION, Guest solo by Tommy Talamanca of Italian legends SADIST @ 2:46

  • @WeIsDaTyrantz Thanks for that. For the longest time I thought that was Steffen's solo.

  • 7 people dislike technical metal

  • One question : WHY ?

  • The best german band !

  • Great band

  • Tech Death is the best shit ever!

  • i remembered when these guys opened for Neuraxis, The Faceless, and Cannibal Corpse a couple of years ago. No one really cared for Obscura but DAMNN THEY DO NOW. New album is already the best of this year just about

  • HOLY CRAP! AMAZING

  • Tech Death ORGASM

  • HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU "cheat" with music? utilizing technology and techniques of today does not mean you are cheating.

  • Take note kiddies; this is a prime example of REAL tech-death.

  • @PrivateSnowballTFC

thumbs up to that! other kids at my school think "real tech death" are shit bands like brain drill or stupid deathcore bands. to me real tech death is anything that is complex, but still comes off natural. such as obscura, augury, necrophagist, the first at the gates album, atheist, or cynic

  • @ripchuck95 Shit, that's a sturdy line-up right there (though I don't consider any of At The Gates's material to be techdeath, they're still incredible). I think Necrophagist is probably one of the most melodic bands of their genre, despite people going about saying "z0mg dhey r teh wankz0rz lolz". Listen really closely and the melody is there.

  • @PrivateSnowballTFC this band has more melody than necrophagist. The faceless,Ouroboros,Aeon of Horus,Quo Vadis,Archon,Massive Slavery,Decrepit Birth,Death ect....all have more melody than Necrophagist.Necrophagist doesn't add much melodies at all now that I think about it.They have moments but not compared to the bands I listed.

  • @DeathToRealMetal Obscura? Of course they do. But on Necrophagist's songs like Epitaph, Culinary Hyperversity, and even Foul Body Autopsy, the melody is very much present....just not in the sense of something like Quo Vadis or At the Gates.

  • @PrivateSnowballTFC I know they have melody in few select song but I'm not arguing that.you said necrophagist is one of the most melodic in the genre. If I go through all the bands I know and have on save on my youtube profile I can probably find a good 15-20 technical deathmetal bands which are more melodic than Necrphagist.

  • @DeathToRealMetal Ahh, well, beats me, I barely listen to "technical death metal" anyways, but as long as the music is good.

  • @PrivateSnowballTFC Thats all that really matters.

  • Look the Necrophagist Technical arpegios, and say that it are not good melodies...

Necrophagist have a good technical melodies like the other bands that you quote.

  • @0rIok Technical arpeggios don't mean its a melody....Most likely what your talking about is what people call a solo.Necrophagist does have some melodies but most of the bands I mentioned are heavy on melodies.

  • @0rIok Necrophagist > All

  • @timmmmkay Necrophagist are great but Obscura and Necrophagist and Spawn of Possession>All.

  • @websterx9 still..

    Necro > Others

  • @timmmmkay Shut up

  • @websterx9 Speaking of Spawn of Possession, they have a new album coming out in march!

  • @Chips185 Yeah,Mr Christian told me :D He's the lead on the album, I can't wait :D

  • @ripchuck95 Now all those deathcore bands passing as tech-death suck ass, but Brain Drill is decent. Overrated, and at times stale, but they do sound impressive.

And +1 for mentioning Augury, such an underrated band.

  • @ripchuck95 Yeah, that's technical deathcore, not tech. death metal. :PP

  • @ripchuck95 Haha wait, the phrase "technical death metal" is actually used at your school? I was 1 of only 3 in my school who knew what "technical death metal" was. :DD

  • @videogamerselite270

haha yep! we have lots of posers at my school

  • @ripchuck95 Of course you do! That's where posers come from, schools. High schools are where the poser scenefags get together to form their lame, shitty bands.

  • This song is brutal and technical in my opinion. The seven string guitars really have a benefit on this album i love this album it the best.

  • within my opinion this is the best track of the album

  • @infernalgod666 This is the only track solely written by Hannes Grossmann.

  • @Megadedly

    .

  • @castlevaniamaniac Not true, Grossmann also wrote Celestial Spheres on his own.

  • @infernalgod666 Agreed.
