There is nothing wrong with listening to and performing a historical representation of "exotic" music. Musicians of the Ottoman Empire played pieces that were in the "French style" and others in the "Russian style" even though they were clearly not authentic representations. Chinese court music from the 19th century featured "Indian Dances" and "English Dances".
Please tell me, what is wrong with this? Is this worse simply because this is a "western" composer"? Enough with the nonsense!!
@icetea1977 Please see my comment which i posted. I do not fully understand why you are so offended. This happened all around the world! This was simply a way for musicians/artists to musically portray something new and different. Over a century ago, when this music was written, global communication did not exist as it does now.
It is disgusting and shameful for people like you to extrapolate something like this into hateful and judgmental! Shame on you!
@sfg078 i really think u gotta read a bit more or even better get together with some people and maybe then u can talk to me again. my criticism was not meant to be offensive to the music or to anyone but islamists!!
im sorry if u got offended but if anyone should fel shame than u for adding your opinion when u dont even understand the full context of my pain.
@MrRomanrules sorry misunderstanding, by cultural rape i meant the governments of both countries that have "raped" our culture and not the composition :)
Why did you fade out the video before the music ended? This is annoying, distracting, and an insult to Johann Strauss, Sohn.
