everyone relax, im preparing just like ya'll are. just stating an unfortunate fact for all of us. ...and the "he who has the most firepower" that im talking about unfortunately will turn out to be the US government/military. Suggestion to add to your bug out recharging options, look for a thermal electric generator, literally you put it next to a camp fire or heat source and it turns the waste heat from it to electricity. They're smaller than a solar charger and for the size put out more voltage or amperage depending on how it's configured.

tegpower(dot)com has a few examples, it would be potential option if you need it, where weight is more of a concern when you're on your feet in a shtf scenario on vehicle it might be a consideration for those who can afford or make room for it. It's an alternate power option that is never mentioned by the green community but it should be highly considered among the prepper community since we all seem to like to cook by some form of fire.

looks pretty capable of trekking thru rough terrain and finding a hideout next to a remote lake side.got fishing gear in there too?my plan is to find a lakeside under some tree coverage.western nations have out lived their time at the top of the economic food chain and i do see us sliding back down to near poverty status while other nations make their way to the top.wonder if theyll fly over and drop bags of rice and grain like we did for them.i doubt it.

Thanks I try to open the trailer at least once a week to start the generator put the power trolly on charge for an hour check the fuels and water containers, this week I needed to replace a gallon of petrol and 5 gallons of diesel because they had been in there for over 3 months I use the trailer like an emergency larder I try to replace anything I use when I get paid Glad you liked it thanks for watching Blessings. Here in the U.K. they are sold by Maplin electricals but are made in China so must be a global product I paid about £150.00 - $225.00, as for the riots I fear the government and the bankers more lets get the courts open 24hrs a day to start trying them there no better than the looters helping them selves to the wealth of a nation

@armouredcockroach ha ha there is a storm come my way friday morning we should ten inches of rain and 75 mph i believe that is 90 kph with out power for a few days so even if I did have the money I would not get it here in time for the fun I am well in land 72 miles from Daytona Beach and 85 ft above sea level So i am not fellowing my own rule of 100 ft above sea level and or 100 mile away from the coast line but i am close

Hard mount a solar panel or 2 on the trailer top and carry a small electric scooter for short trips in your local to save your deisel reserves. Here in Canada there are many types of ebikes that would do the trick I am sure you have them in uk also. Sun charges ebike you have transportation all be it 20km per hour max at no cost of resources.

I've got a bugout bike, but this is quite a good idea i've now set the turbine up on the rear of the trailer so i would be able to charge it whilst (driving) on the move sounds perfect (just need to pin down the cost) IM ON IT thanks for the comment Michael S

I just think in a max of 3 months we will know if were going home after an event of some type or not, but every day would have to be spent impoving one's situation, survive the event, adapt to your new surroundings, thrive by building & good camp routine,

I think there called caravan & leasure supplies, about $225was the cost. but building your own would be cheaper,100 amp batt used but good trickle charge + inverter 1000 watt plus, build your own box sorted, When I bought mine I didn't know to much about it but it's prity straight forward and you'll find loads of help on building it on YOUTUBE good luck Michael S

5000lbs winch with a snatch block it's up to 10,000 lbs should be enough to get us out of trouble
