I know wrong vid and all. But HELP! I need an answer as soon as you can!I have a question. A message popped up on my computer when i moved the mouse to wake it from sleep, and a message popped up in red saying "DATABASES ARE CORRUPTED" I updated it and it was fine. Was it a virus shutting my protection off? And my malwarebytes wont update, but it said by kaspersky it was unsafe, and that its legal software used by criminals to damage your system and data. HELP!

@QBisbest There are different Vendors. Diamond- XFX- ASUS- HIS- Gigabyte- MSI- Saphaire- PowerColor- Vison Tech- Biostar- Those are the current Vendors for AMD at the moment I believe.

@MrFlexz Yes you can , all my specs are exactly as yours except i have 8 gig and i gigabyte mb. The card is really good it runs crysis at the highest settings at 60-65 fps :) buy the xfx 5850 it has better cooling

mine is making a very annoying buzzy sound since a few days. Since today, temp incresed aswell by about 14 C. that's 55C at idle now. I know its not healthy so anyone got any idea's? fan still spins free when I take it out and use my finger to spin it. (its an XFX HD 5850 Black Edition)

Depends on a couple of things. If your OS is not Windows 7, you won't need DirectX 11 at all. And another thing is if the game you are playing supports DirectX 11.

MINE CAME WITH NO GRAPHIC! Also during games it makes a high pitch noise and gets there grey and purple screens in games like cod5 and tf2! those are easy to run!!!! not a good pick cause diamond wont rma cause they its normal so go asus cause its voltage tweaked!

Which GPU? and is that temp at load? if its at load that temp is quite normal, most GPU's these days run quite hot, upwards of 80degC. Maybe just manually crank up the fan if u are worried. 76, while it seems hot is quite normal these days.

DVI is digital, VGA is analog. DVI will give you a crisper picture with no bleeding or shadowing. But more importantly if you watch Bluray movies and need HDCP encryption it will NOT work over VGA it has to be on digital video like DVI, HDMI or DP so you may not get full HD video from bluray disks without it.

VGA vs DVI is like AV Cable vs HDMI. DVI is the same as HDMI, the only thing is that DVI does not carry audio.

The 5770 is just an OC'd 4870 with DX11 support. So if you want excellent price performance ratio go for the 4870 and OC it. It will be a while before we get alot of DX11 games so its not that big an issue at the moment. As for the 5850, if you can run a crossfire setup then 2x 4870's will bury the 5850 in just about every PC game. The only thing the 5850 has on it is DX11 support.
